Yeah, I was worried when Novak hurt that right hip flexor. (That was what was making him pitch forward at times, especially when trying to slide on the backhand side.) Rafa had the hip flexor injury on the opposite side in Australia that ended his whole season. Fortunately, Novak's hip was in better condition and he was able to work around it and win. It was for sure painful. LOTS of tennis movements use that hip flexor-even the serve. Probably why he started faulting in the second set.

He had 8 years of a very slow start due to severe gluten intolerance that he was not aware of. He was hated simply for being born "in the wrong place". He had the worst draws throughout his career, consistently fighting through the toughest opponents in the toughest era in Tennis history. He practically lost 2 years of greatness (mid 2016 - mid 2018) due to injuries. He was disqualified from 2020 US Open for an accidental ball toss which was really not that powerful (she made a really loud noise for someone who's having difficulty to breathe). He was put through hell in Australia - causing him to also be rattled at the following French Open. He was denied points at Wimbledon. He was banned from the US for almost 2 years. . . . and still - Nole holds all the historic records in all the big metrics. It's lonely at the top 🐐

@@moeron13 well, they are coming from the same environment and mentality, but there are several important parallels to their lifestyle and ethos that I find significant. They both had both parents who raised them, both have two brothers, both married their high school sweethearts, both are fathers and became fathers for the first time at around the same age, both devoted Orthodox Christians, neither of them have any sort of bragging or flashy attitude when it comes to their earned wealth, they both donate to causes that support children's upbringing like building kindergartens and sports facilities, they both have this sort of childish playful spirit and honest organic humour, they are both very passionate about their hobbies, I mean Jokic's love for his horses is legendary and Novak is speaking several languages fluently... there are more details were we could draw a parallel between the two if you go in depth but in general, the pattern is quite visible. They are both great role models and pure joy to watch doing what they do best.

I love to listen to the G.O.A.T.'s breakdown of his toughest challenges. He brings so much humanity to his arguably inhumane greatness. Thank you Novak for your example of what a true champion should represent.

Kudos to Novak for standing his ground. And kudos to CBS for inviting him to their show. I totally thought CBS and the others would ignore him.

I think it is a nice interview despite being short . They ended it by saying Novak you're the greatest of all time . Very successful return to the US for Novak winning both Cincinnati and the US open .

This guy is the goat. What won him the final was his amazing comeback in about the fourth round against his fellow Serb. He came back from two sets down .

Congratulations Novak!!! Honestly ❤ Can't believe he woke up for morning show. Public responsibility. He could have stayed in with his family, sleep and play.
