These Nole highlights are hilarious, they're mainly about how his opponents played amazingly, but somehow Nole magically still won the match lol. There are plenty of us wishing him well, he made it to the final through bad press and crowd misbehavior, and becoming an even bigger legend in the process, efforts to make him fail keep backfiring and it's fascinating to watch.

I was going to say the same thing. In the first two sets, I think every single long rally they showed went Tommy Paul's way. There's no way he was aced the other 20+ points lol. His underperformance at grand slams i will never understand! Winning a match, a tournament, matters more than winning all sets. And if we talk about winning streaks Djokovic and Federer have 43 and 41, Nadal significantly below at 32. On that 43 streak Djokovic beat peak Nadal in four masters finals, two of them on clay, winning both on straight sets. The force Djokovic has reached is simply amazing, I don't see contenders nowadays who can contrast him, this is telling us good Roger was and Nadal (is?) to compete with him. Master Djokoyoda!

And Djokovic was only 4-13 vs Federer before 2011 when Federer exited his prime. Also at least one of those wins was an asterisk cause Fed mono

Even after letting Nadal take the lead in the grand slam count due to his vaccine stance, I think he's still going to end up with the most slams in history. Doesn't seem to be missing a beat.

The problem is mentally/tactically at this tournament, Joker has all the answers and he doesn't wilt. Beating this man at this tournament (which hasn't happened in 5 years) is just as hard as beating Nadal at Rolland Garros. It's not impossible, but i dont like your odds.

djokovic, years out of his prime, completely dismantles a very strong looking tommy paul without even trying. whereas alcaraz gets beaten by him. and people are trying to say prime alcaraz is better than prime novak 😭

Djokovic struggle with Medvedev in all games. The russian was demolished by Alcaraz. If this is your point, i think Medvedev is a better proxy.

While Federer will always have my favorite style of play, Djokovic is the GOAT of tennis. Despite overall Grand Slams, I would say that all time it is 1. Djokovic 2. Federer 3. Nadal 4. Sampras 5. Laver 6. Tilden 7. Borg 8. Lendl 9. Connors 10. McEnroe 11. Agassi 12. Emerson

Technique, shot selection and court position matter in tennis, but speed, recovery time between balls and anticipation are what separate Novak from the rest of the field. -Jason Frausto

I mean its kinda the opposite at least now that djokovic has aged. What really sets him apart is his shot selection, anticipation (like u said), and his tennis iq.

Goatkovic. Doesn't even matter if he doesn't win the final (most likely will) and Fed is my favorite player, the Djoker is the goat as of 2023 and it's only January. I thought it was gonna be Roger, possibly Rafa really with those slams, but Nole will be the undisputed GOAT at the end of the year.

Djokovic sweeps aside EASILY all these younger players in straight sets! Tommy Paul constantly excuses himself, “He didn’t give me a chance to execute my drop shots, my overhead smashes…” , “These were my pre-match plans…”BLAH, Blah, blah …Excuse after excuse…☝😱. SIMPLES! Adapt super quick, think on your feet! Wise up super fast! Raise your tennis IQ!! If Djokovic makes you look stupid! STEP ⬆ UP 🆙 🔝 now! Raise your game! Stop being a 😭👼🏻👼🏻👶!

Usually I praise the AO for their great and long highlights but come on. Every Djokovic highlight I’ve watched recently puts so many of the opponents points that you would think Djokovic is the one that got creamed in straight sets
@fractal97 Жыл бұрын
Novak: "I don't hear you!?"... Again, bias by AO. Notice second set, result 2-0, 15-15, and Paul just gets a point and you hear ovations, so it is 15-30. The next frame is 5-1. So, from 2-1 to 5-1, there is no need for AO to show all those wining points of Novak. I mean, who cares when Novak wins points, lets look at his "mighty opponents"!
