Nanda is ridiculously good and Djokovic's rally ball basically pins him into a defensive position on every point. The level is insane. I'm a 5.0 tennis player and I probably couldn't get a game off Nanda. In fact, It would be struggle to win a point. So to extrapolate that to Djokovic is ridiculous. The level to sports are incredible. IF they only showed this court level view on regular TV, it would only serve to pull more people into the sport as the athleticism and speed required is lost when viewed from above.

But that view is what makes it viewer friendly.. Tennis players and some viewers might differ.. But I'm sure majority would want it the way it is... At some stage they change the camera angles and it gives the viewer a different experience for sure... But to make it the norm would not be a right decision... Otherwise it would have been done by now.. Top view is what i reckon is best view for the one who is just watching it for entertainment.. But an aspiring player or the one who is interested in the nitty gritties of this beautiful game might like lower and side angle view and might share ur view.

@verbalkint4052
@verbalkint4052 2 ай бұрын
Very funny - but even Roger doesn’t deserve the title. Nobody does. I could go into great detail why, but for brevity’s sake … Rafa won 22 slams in far fewer slam appearances. Roger had 3-4 full years (2003-2007) without a real challenger. Novak’s prime years 2012 and on came when Fed was on the slide and injured. Only Rafa had to go through Fed during his prime and Novak during his prime. Yet despite that and far less appearances AND the disadvantage of only having ONE slam on his best surface (vs Fed and Novak having 3 on hard court and grass) he’s still right there. And, no, I’m not championing Rafa as GOAT - as I believe there really isn’t a such thing - but rather briefly demonstrating how nuanced this debate can get. I’d argue that Fed, Novak and Rafa are all among the greatest of all time, along with some other guys from different eras when the rules, surfaces, and rackets were all different. Bjorn Borg belongs in the elite group as does Rocket Rod Laver. Borg won 11 slams before he was 25 years old and did that largely only playing 3 slams per season, not 4. Prior to 1988ish many of the big names skipped the Aussie Open as the conditions and surface were terrible. IIRC Borg only entered the Aussie Open twice. And Jimmy Connors not many more times. And that tournament is where Novak has won most of his slams - yet those older era guys didn’t have the benefit of playing it (as a viable, well run event). All of that factors in and matters. And, yes, this was a brief explanation. I could really pile on more reasons and expound in greater detail. ;)

@@Blueian742 I do not know how my comment proved your point. I think there is a significant gap between these levels but much smaller then between club player and college player. You can take UTR tennis rating which is more or less linear scale of level of play. So top player have UTR around 16.0. Good D1 college players may have UTR around 12-13. Now for comparison intermediate club player of 4.0 USTA level would have UTR around 5.0 maybe 6.0. So you can see that the difference of the level is much larger there. Even though difference between 12 and 16 UTR is still pretty solid.

@@Blueian742 I just proved you with numbers that it is not comparable. I am an average club player and I had coaches who played in the D1 division. You can't win a single point against them. It is not same level of difference as between Djokovic and this college guy. He could rally with Djokovic and he will win points and even occasionally games. But in a match play if Djoker takes is seriously there is no chance to win a set. Let's say difference between them like between D1 and D3 college players. But D3 player is not sloth at all.
