John Deere 318 with blade and snow cab

I hope you have a great 4th July. That is a cool tractor, we would love a cab for one of our garden tractors. It is good to have two snow machines so you have a backup. It would be great to see the tractor in action

I remember the 1987 318 when it was new on the showroom floor. Too much tractor for my dad and our massive 1/3rd acre! Haha He thought about it a little though. Almost went all out on a 285 to have hydrostatic and power steering, but settled for a 260 for low maintenance and a smaller mowing deck as the lush, level perriwinkle on the north side path of the house would of died with anything larger than a 40in deck with chute. 38in twin blade was what he swapped on from a new 240 on the showroom. Mine is MINT with 288 hours. I washed and waxed it every year and blow it off with an electric leaf blower after every use. Plus it is in a full foundation 12x25 shed with insulated garage door and electricity. Still have the chrome moon hubcaps new in box. He wanted to have something nicer looking and iconic than a Wheel Horse. New fuel lines and a washout of the fuel tank was the only issue (intermittent clogs as the sediment from the tank would build up on the vertical climb to the mesh fuel filter). Washed an waxed every surface I could touch while it was apart. Greased the springs and slide points. Spindles get grease every blade swap (Oregon G5 now). We used to bag until the municipal recycling center stopped taking clippings (then oil 4 years ago).

could you do a video on how to install that cab? I have the same one but can’t get the front piece minted to my 322

I would if i could. Traded this to a friend and he sold the cab.
