No we won’t. This isn’t a matter of reset sometime in the future because any alternative governments resulting from a realignment next election would either (somehow) produce (maybe) a Labour-LibDem-Green coalition, which is unlikely, or it would produce some unholy alt-right Tory or Reform UK government which is in no one’s best interests after we just spent two years vowing to destroy them forever. The only thing to do now is to voice your opposition to the government wherever possible and a make a difference within this Parliament because we cannot in any way trust that help is on the way later on.

I do think the ultra wealthy should pay more but there's a fine line between being attractive to investment and going after the rich to pay their share. It sucks but that's something Starmer has to consider. However, the UK is a rich country, so surely it can take more from the very wealthy and keep investment going.

Just wait till their first budget when the tool announces what exactly “super rich” means in his book and the public finds out that it’s all working people on salaries over £45-£55K and all mum and dad businesses like small shops and cafes while huge corporations and their profits remain untouched.

SS HELL - the cull: The vastly devalued winter fuel allowance is hardly a real lifeline anymore in the time of govt policy of vastly inflated fuel costs. The definite intention of Labour was to exclude all pensioners from the meager fuel benefit, but after considerable protest a small consession was made for some of the poorest 'penion credit' claimants. . Most likely there will be a cull of at least 4,000 from hypothermia this winter and this will also benefit the Exchequer with the terminated monthly pension payments and the possibity of estate inheritance tax. A triple wammy for the Sir Starmer's cruel policy and a special place in Hell.
