@kontube00 Studio One and Reaper should be compatible. Automap is compatible with VST, AU and RTAS plug-ins that have automatable parameters. You can check which parameters are automatable in your plug-ins by viewing the automation lane in your DAW. You can always use your Novation midi controller as a standard midi controller. As long as your software supports midi control you should be able to create a template and assign controls manually.

Within Ableton Live Lite, a Clip is essentially a sound file (of any duration) which can be assigned to any DAW Track. Provision has been made for launching Clips directly from drum pads on Impulse. Can you assign chords to the pads. And I don't mean a chords sample, but multiple MIDI notes. So, let's say I load a Piano VSTi and I press one of the pads and that plays minro 7th chord.....I am not actually sure if there is any other MIDI keyboard that can do that :)

have a request for you. I have an external module and an Impulse 49. I don't know how to set up Impulse so that I can control the volume on the external module from Impulse. Switching banks and sounds is not a problem, but I can't set the most important function CC7 volume so that I don't have to add or subtract from the module during live performance. volume. I just got this keyboard on christmas eve 2013 & I have 2 things to say about it, one good & one bad.... the good is that it's really easy to set up with ableton live & the keyboard has a lot of cool features... the bad is that there's no damn power button on this thing, which makes no sense to me, when I'm on my mac but I'm not working on music this thing is still on with the lcd screen all lit up so I have to disconnect the usb cable to turn it off, that really pisses me off because I feel like the usb cable or the usb input on the keyboard will eventually get damaged from all the plugging & unplugging! What a lame design flaw to not have added a power button, my m-audio Axiom 25 keyboard has a power button but I liked the features on the impulse 49 so I got one but now I'm considering returning it to guitar center based on the lack of a power button!!! X(

Impulse has 8 quality-feel drum pads which are velocity-sensitive with aftertouch. These are back-lit with 3-colour LEDs which means they can do things other drum pads can't, like warping arpeggios in real time, rolling beats and launching clips in Ableton Live (Ableton Live Lite 8 comes with Impulse). They are really close. Both have similar feel on the keyboard. The Korg has 16 drum pads vs the 8 on the Novation, but the Novation comes with more software. That would be the deciding factor. |Heather S|

Perform a factory reset Sergio. Please follow the procedure below to perform a factory reset on the Impulse. bit.ly/3Ah37wt Hold down the 'shift', '+' and '-' buttons then connect the USB cable to the Impulse. You will now be in the boot menu. 'Exit' should be displayed on the LCD screen. Press the '+' button three times. 'Fac Rst' should now be displayed on the screen. The Novation offers an Arpeggiator with pad-based rhythm editor, roll mode on drum pads with aftertouch control of amplitude, and a precision 61-note semi-weighted keyboard with aftertouch. Gah I was gonna buy this, but now I think I'll pass. I was hoping it came with AC option. Anyone recommend similar, but not something with really bad flimsy keys like Oxygen, and Launchkey. Both of those have the worst feeling clackity keys. ty in advance
