I think this is the best VA I've heard. It doesn't sound digital but also not analog. It has a sad and very alive sound. Something going on there, something great, can't place it

In the old days, when synthesizers were made intelligently, there were many good synthesizers. And most of this (old) list can be called the best. Like analog synthesizers, each VA synthesizer has its own filter character, as well as nice options such as overdrive before the filter by SN2 or a singing resonance like the AN1X with key tracking, which can replace the oscillator. If I look at modern synthesizers, I see in each of them a critical economy of innovation, knobs, control knobs, as well as the elementary base (cheap DACs, worse even than the original DAC that was in SN2, cheap operational amplifiers, etc.). Unfortunately, I was not able to post a video on KZbin in which the sound of the modified SN2 would not be spoiled. For example, I made a video with SN2 drums kits such TR808, TR909 emulation, on KZbin I hear cheap sound, but in real life SN2 drums are no worse than analog expensive drum computers. If we cover all the functions of SN2 globally (I have a rack with 48 voices polyphony), then this is a successful synthesizer. Each of us has our own favorite, and it seems to me that our opinion on “best or worst” depends on how often we use each synthesizer.

Is pro x 2 is new version of the supernova 2

No, Pro X has a polyphony of 48 voices. Pro without X has a polyphony of 36 voices. SN2 without additional DSP boards as standard version has 24 voices. That's the difference.

The same instrument only has a 48 voice polyphony card added.
