I've always digged Novelists since the beggining. Love this song, the new guitarrist is so good and works so well with Flo. The bass player has such a nice voice that I didn't know of and also works so well with the lead singer. The solos are amazing and show what novelists is all about, but they inovate and bring new vibes in each song. This band is so rich in talent, just love it.

The "new" guitarist is actually an old friend from another french metal band called 'Kadinja' that Flo used to play with very early in Kadinja's career before Flo moved on to establish Novelists. Pierre has some seriously impressive chops and fit very well with Novelists! If you haven't checked out Kadinja then I'd recommend you to check them out especially their album Ascendancy!

Found out about Novelists back in 2016-2017 w/ “Immedicable” and was instantly hooked. Mattéo Gelsomino has since been one of my favorites vocalists of the genre. I was def. surprised and unsatisfied when I heard de decided to quit the band, but listening to these new songs w/ the new vocalists (ex-Alazka), I can def. see myself enjoying this new album. They’re def. experimenting w/ new things, which we can see w/ the poppy vibes, electronics, guitar solos and even Nico doing backing vocals; but it adds a cool touch to this new chapter of them. I’m hopeful this new album won’t disappoint.

Won't fantasize Will barely scream this time It seems the tears don't go away Can't escape the dark, sinking into my heart I'll never get to heal, can anybody understand? Oh, the world I built on Lies over lies Can't cope with the guilt, I'm restless Can't seem to escape The world raised me to be no sinner nor saint But I am so close to the edge If there's no one to hold me back I might be better off taking the step Into a world unknown I know you will be better off on your own So when you're calling for help Please remember That we're all getting lost together That nothing ever ever lasts forever Do you really think That you're gonna want to meet the ghosts inside my head? You won't escape the dark, sinking into my heart I'll never get to heal, can anybody understand? But the world I built on lies over lies starts crumbling down And I am so close to the edge I might be better off taking the step I might be better off taking the step I might be better off taking the step So when you're calling for help Please remember That we're all getting lost together That nothing ever ever lasts forever

I can still feel the same vipe as the same novelists all along. The gtr solo, the arrangement, the melodies. Go listen to souvenirs then come back, the music now is far less chord complex, its simple grooves that of the cliche that is standard to what my parents would dig. Cmon guys, bring the heat of echoes and heartfelt.
@StreetForged Жыл бұрын
Antares is the hardest song I've learned, and all I really play is prog and math. I just built a 7 string and had a resurgence of interest in them seeing as I could learn echoes now, and comparing the first two albums to what I've been listening to from them recently, it does seem like the riffs devolved a lot. None of the newer albums really seem to have a song that I think would be interesting to learn. Every band evolves and the lineup changes, but it seems like the inevitable trend is that every band gets softer with each album and plays all their good hands early on, to the point where it either gets repetitive or they have to experiment out of their natural style.
