I unfortunately have had so much tutoring and have a crazy schedule this week that I won’t be able to get a video filmed, edited and posted. But everything that I predicted in August, October, and November are questions that I am preparing my students for.

for the second question, wouldnt the answer be 2/3 since it is only asking of selecting a participant from group a only?

I too were thinking the same.
@SAHIL-JARH Жыл бұрын
No actually, since it's a conditional probability so u need to first differentiate between event E and F. EVENT E - GETTING STUDENT FROM A , EVENT F WHICH HAS ALREADY TAKEN PLACE - ATLEAST 10 YEARS OLD PROBABILITY (E/F) = PROBABILITY (E INT. F)/P(F)

Hi sir, Actually I had some queries related to December DSAT. I am scoring 800/800 in Maths in Mocks but the score in english is quite low.
@preppros Жыл бұрын
Okay, what's your question?
@SAHIL-JARH Жыл бұрын
@@preppros Sir like In English I am not able to comprehend with the passage most of the times and the punctuation based questions are a source of night mare for me. Need ur tips and guidance related to that
@preppros Жыл бұрын
Hi, the punctuation is the easiest place to improve. You simply need to learn the grammar rules and then the section should start to feel more like math as there are black and white rules. I do have a course just focused on the grammar concepts for the Digital SAT which can be found here preppros.teachable.com/p/digitial-sat-writing-course The comprehension of the passage is much harder for me to address. Is English a second language for you? Are there any specific question types that you struggle with or is it all reading questions?
@SAHIL-JARH Жыл бұрын
@@preppros Yes sir English is the second language for me. I struggle with the passages that contain 2 Paras and the question says what the author would perceive from author 1 or like what will be reaction of author 1 towards author 2.

Hi. For problem 30 that reviews range in standard deviation for graphs P & Q. Wouldn’t Q have the bigger range because the frequency is as low as 2 and is as high as 10?
@preppros Жыл бұрын
No, the frequency is the number of each of those values. The frequency has no effect on the range which is the difference between the smallest and largest values in the data set.

Hi! Wouldn't it be easier to use desmos to solve most of these problems instead of memorizing the tables or could solving with desmos have some percent of error in the digital SAT?
@preppros Жыл бұрын
Hi! For the digital SAT, you can use desmos a ton to assist you; however, it’s really important to make sure you understand the concepts as the Digital SAT can take away your ability to use desmos by asking more conceptually challenging questions that cannot simply be graphed. If you can graph it, do so though!

Sir in question 37 wont it be 40/180? As the total number is 180 and it clearly says *will be selected at random* , why did u only take the 2 groups?
@preppros Жыл бұрын
I'd recommend rewatching that part of the video. What I explain with the given statement is what you have to watch out for. That restricts you to only that part of the table. Hope this helps!
@richerthanrichierich Жыл бұрын
for 37 ( second question), isn;t the answer 40/ total or 40/180 as it has asked that one participated will be selected at random ( doesn't it mean from total or whole)?
@SAHIL-JARH Жыл бұрын
Hi, the question is from conditional probability. As it states that what is probability of getting.student from A as it know that he/she is at least 10 years old. So here let student being at least 10 years old be event F and he/she being from A be event E so probability of E such that F has already happened is P( E intersection F)/ P(F) so since sample space element is same so u can replace probability by number of elements
@SAHIL-JARH Жыл бұрын
I hope it helps
@DhairyaBhatt Жыл бұрын
i am confused too, it says what is the probability that a participant from **group A** (total-60), will be of at least 10 years of age (18+22), so the probability would be 40/60 i.e 2/3.
@yassinmohamed612 Жыл бұрын
Question 37 in the math section is wrong; It's 2/3, not 1/3.
@DrunkLad-kr4kw Жыл бұрын
No
@michaelmulla6178 Жыл бұрын
2/3 seem more logical to me, too. It says participants from Group A, that are older than 10 years old. Therefore it would be 40/60. Wheres my mistake?
@tealic367 Жыл бұрын
@@michaelmulla6178 the 40 is correct but since there is the 10-19 group and the 20+ group you are choosing from you would need to incorporate both of them into probability. Total participants in 10-19 is 60 and 20+ is also 60 so the probability is 40/120 or 1/3. I think you got mixed up with older than 10 years old, which would also include 20+
@michaelmulla6178 Жыл бұрын
@@tealic367 but we are only looking at Group A, not the entirety of Group 10-19 and Group 20+, at least from my understanding of the question
@tealic367 Жыл бұрын
@@michaelmulla6178 we are only looking at people aged 10+ because it says, "given that the participant is at least 10 years of age". Then out of those 120 people, 40 belong to group a giving us 40/120 or 1/3
