Thanks! Yeah, you really have to stay on top of the topics showing up on the test to make sure students are well prepared for what they can see on test day. Getting few extra questions correct can make such a big difference, especially for students scoring in the 1500+ range.

Hey Mike, please say the importance of buying a CAS calculator for the SAT. I got a 800 on my math section easily with the TI-Nspire cxII CAS due to it basically being cheating. I feel although 99% of students would see insane results if using a CAS calculator.

The SAT is a calculator steeple chase. The biggest challenge is knowing how to use the funcitons correctly. Research all that is available to you in the APPS and MATH menus.

#36 is cryptically written, but to what end? The question is asking for q such that the value of the left side of the quation is 0. It could also be phrased just as ridiculously, "What is the excluded value, q, of the following equation?" Excluded values are most often associated with rational expressions, but this is not always true. This drives me nuts about those tests.

Hi Judi, It's a bit difficult to give really helpful advice without knowing exactly what you are missing and struggling with. Have you been keeping notes around what type of mistakes you have made and why you make them? If not, the first thing you should do is to to go back and review all of the questions you missed, identify what question type they are, why you made the mistake, and then you need to spend time studying that type of content before practicing again. One of the most common mistakes I see from students who have been self studying is they just do a bunch of practice tests or practice problems but will not spend time learning from those mistakes. You really need to make sure you have understood why you made the mistake to not make a similar mistake again.

Hi Daniel, How have you been trying to learn from them? Have you just been taking practice tests and reviewing your mistakes or have you been using courses or books to learn the type of content that you missed on the test?

Hi Daniel, I would strongly recommend my course as I genuinely believe its the best resource out there outside of private tutoring with a really skilled tutor. At the least, I would recommend using the diagnostic sheets www.preppros.io/sat-glossary that help you identify the concepts that you are missing but then it will be really important for you to learn the strategies, and tips and tricks to solve those questions effectively and then get enough practice with the different variations of those question types so that you can get them right moving forwards on future practice tests and on test day. It's really important to use practice tests as a tool to practice and to identify weaknesses but you do have to use resources outside of them to be able to progress. Yes, the Digital SAT has some questions that can easily be graphed like this but they often have been including more conceptual questions so that you can not just use desmos to find the correct answer to make them more challenging.

I took my second dsat practice test today i scored 30+ points than the 1st one ( from 520 to 550) but, I'm really stressed since i finished the whole college panda questions and practiced over and over yet there is no high improvement. I'm taking the sat on 7th october is there any hope i can score 700+? any advice please ?

guys the question at 2:54 as the question says Group A only shouldn't the total be 60 why 120?

The problem is asking how likely it is to select a participant from Group A out of all total participants. So we're finding the probability of selecting Group A, which is 40 people out of 120 total people. 1 out of 3 people above the age of 10 will be from Group A if that makes sense.

the statement "given the participant is 10 years or older" means all 60 people who are 0-9 are removed from the options to select. Then you are looking for group A out of the remaining people, which is 40 out of 120.

I haven’t studied anything for the October 7th SAT, can I score 550+ if I started from tomorrow? And do you recommend studying from khan academy, and is it enough, with the blue book practice tests?

Hi, it's really hard to know! Some students will naturally start above a 550 with no studying and for others it will take a significant amount of work to get there. I'd recommend taking a bluebook test to get a baseline and then you'll have a better idea!

No, because you’re only looking at the participants who are at least ten years old. 180 would be if we considered all the participants. Hope that helps :)

I saw it once on ur channel but now i cant find it.. it was a quadratics question where there were different constants like b k in the equation and the task was to find the ratio of k/b example. First we needed to factor something and then find the roots.. can u please help me finding that question I really need it. Thanks
