I really wish we'd got more little moments between Den and Dennis. On the odd occasion they happened, it meant so much to Dennis and it was brilliantly played by Nigel Harman. Den DID care for Dennis, he just cared for his other two kids more.

After being arrested, Phil escaped in December 2003 and was on the run until April 2005. He returned in April 2005 for a brief stint and was caught by the police in the square. Grant returned in late 2005 and bribed the witness so that he would change his statement... then Phil was released and him and Grant set out to free Sam from prison.

@@eastendersfan7049 actually, Grant threatened the main witness so he wouldn't testify. The prosecution therefore had no solid evidence. 😂 only in the soaps eh? 🤣🤣

The only solid piece of evidence that the CPS had to prosecute Phil for armed robbery was the dodgy security guard who worked for Den... Seeing as Den was dead and the witness was a dodgy guard out for money, it probably wasn't hard for Grant to bribe the witness to not turn up/change his statement. Grant probably used his contacts to find the guard's name/address.
