If you're into international reality shows, would highly recommend Terrace House. It's this chill Japanese reality show about 6 strangers living in a house together (the Aloha State version takes place in Hawaii, lots of half-Japanese participants). Love it.

Jenn, seeing your smile after watching your video addressing Eggie does my heart good. I’m so glad you’re in a better space. One thing I’ve learned is that I can’t lose my sanity or my peace trying to please others. I can’t stretch myself so thin to where I’m fragile. It’s still an ongoing battle for me, so I understand to some degree. Thank you for always being so vulnerable and transparent with us. Regardless of what you’re going through, I hope you continue to radiate your positivity and find what makes you brave.

Brené Brown is a wonderful source for understanding out own thought, reaction and emotional patterns. I had a psychologist who recommended the TED talk to me and I've been following her ever since. And oh yes, 90 day fiance, it's the best way to watch an enjoyable car crash! Like you I'm married to someone from another country and you feel nothing but GRATEFULNESS for seeing how difficult and messed up some international relationships can be. I hope December will be a better month for you. xx

Book recc: THEN SHE WAS GONE by LISA JEWELL. This book also goes between past and present and it's about a mom whose daughter went missing 10 years ago and one day she meets a little girl, named Poppy who so closely resembles her own lost daughter. And then a clue about her daughters case shows up after nothing for the past 8 years. I read it in less than a day! (I rarely do that) it is absolutely THRILLING

My favorite this month was: coconut oil! I started using coconut oil to treat my acne and moisturize my body, and I’ve had some great results so far! I’m going to continue using it, and it’s a great alternative for expensive lotions!

I reread “Salt” by Nayyirah Waheed. It’s this gorgeous collection of poetry on femininity, love, trauma and finding your inner strength. My favourite poem goes: “if someone does not want me it is not the end of the world. but if i do not want me. the world is nothing but endings.” It’s just a powerful book to read during tough times to remind you of your self worth

I'm currently binging this TV show called 'Outlander'. I think you'd like it cause you like drama shows and looking at beauty and learning new stuff. It's about an English woman living in post WWII who goes on holiday to Scotland with her husband. She touches this standing stone there which transports her back to the 18th century, where she runs into a man who's her husband's ancestor but he looks exactly like him and he's a complete sociopath. It's VERY exciting and well-written and you learn a lot about history and culture in the 18th century. Also the Scottish Highlands featured is absolutely stunning! :))

One of my favorite books is fangirl by rainbow rowell. Its about a girl who is in college and loves to write stories. She meets a boy who helps her with her problems while she helps in. After weeks and weeks they finally click and its just such an amazing book that i am sure you'd love❤❤❤

i’m loving all of these book recommendations :) i’ve been loving The Moth, which is available as a podcast. It’s basically selections curated from open mics where people tell stories from pivotal moments in their lives, and these narratives really reminded me of what it means to be human. I love how each episode has a theme, and yet the stories vary so wildly. They will make you sob and cackle and move you and inspire you. A couple good ones: Michael J. Massimino’s recounting of doing a space walk as an astronaut Sue Schmidt “Bring Me Liberty or Bring Me a Dress”

I haven’t watched it but it kind of gave me the feels of an heart warming and adventurous studio Ghibli’s film! Also hope you are taking good care of yourself and Ben through this month❤️
