Lovely video. It does feel a little sad when all the lovely plants go over. I enjoy seeing the interaction between the two of you and your obvious love for each other. Gentle teasing between a couple shows the regard you each have for the other person

Sad...but knowing they'll come back makes it all worth it. And thank you for commenting on us 🥰 We do enjoy spending time together... and we're glad that shows. Sometimes I worry that we might be 'too much' for some people. haha... but I'm glad you can see that it all comes from respect. Huge greetings from Denmark to you!

I get so much pleasure watching your channel guys, and no you're not too much, your warmth for each other is lovely don't ever change. I'm so glad your neighbours were unharmed during their unfortunate fire. Great tip with the masking tape to name your dahlias I shall be utilising this method myself when I lift mine. Also I hope you are taking cuttings from your erysimum Bowles Mauve they can flower all year but usually only live 2 or 3 years excuse me if you know this already. Good to see you love your Hydrangeas as much as I do.

Thanks so much for saying that! And yes... the people (and the actual house where they lived) were ok. Very thankful for that. And super great that you can use the masking tape idea! It's what we have around the house :) And we haven't taken any Erysimum cuttings this year at all -- we need to get on that before any more frost comes. It's actually still doing ok this far into November! It's one tough plant for sure.

😸THAT is super super sweet of you to say... especially when it doesn't feel like it sometimes. We started this channel this year just for fun... and for us to take public note of what's growing, etc. So 'fun' is our first goal... growth is our second 😅🥰@@thegardenerkids...1683

Hi I absolutely love the banter between you two. The background stories are very interesting. Sorry you have COVID Lars. I have had my flu vaccination and my COVID every year since 2020. Not even a sniffle do I get (touch wood). In the beginning I was terrified of the vaccine. But eventually succumbed, with no pressure. It has been worth it so far. I'm a bit like Allen too,in that I expand my comments to get the story across. I'll stop for now. So much to comment on💯🌟🌟👏🐝🪱🪱🪱

Thank you for this delightful video. I think your garden still looks very beautiful in it's late autumn glory. I awoke this morning to our first frost of the year (30 miles south of London) but it was a light one so I hope some of my tender annuals will have made it through. Lars clearly likes collecting seeds as much as I do 😀 I notice that you grew Agastache; it's a great 'doer' and dies back well. I grow Black Adder and will plant more next year. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from Covid Lars. Thanks again. Melanie

I also grow that variety of aconitum and found the seeds have to be fresh, surface sown and cold stratified. The ones I scattered on the soil outdoors to overwinter germinated in spring, but the ones I saved to grow in trays didn’t. Just a heads up if you weren’t aware! 😊

Thanks so much, James! We keep this one outdoors, too so nature can handle the cold part. We have tried (with other seeds, too) using the fridge, etc. ...but it's too much work... when we have the cold already outdoors.

Hi both, love peaking into your garden, great fun, thanks. ☺️ Did you know that there are different kinds of earthworms? There are red wrigglers in compost, helping to break the compost down. And then there are bigger, paler ones that live in the soil and dig deep, aerating the soil. Are you taking the paler ones into your compost? They will probably just come back to the garden anyway. 😂 I am not hundred percent sure, but I would say - leave your worms where they are, your compost will be well and dandy anyway. 🙈🤭🍀🙌🏻

Love that! We’re not worm experts at all - so we will take your advice 🤓. I’m just glad to see them - knowing that they’re doing something good and that the soil is healthy enough to have them. ❤️🪱

Thank you for the tour gentlemen, it’s lovely with these autumn colors too! and the kniphofia is still stunning, I love it! Your greenhouse is nice too, makes me want to get one 🤔 what size is it? Are you growing winter veggies in it? Best wishers of recovrey to Lars. Cheers from France

Thank you for joining the tour! We're very proud of the kniphofia... it was a sad little guy when we brought it home from the nursery (on sale at the end of the summer)...but it's done really well. We'll divide it at the end of next season. Our greenhouse is really old -- it came with the house when we moved in. I'm not sure how big it is, actually... I'll ask Lars when he's back from work. And no winter veggies for us... only flowering plants for next spring. Happy weekend coming up! Greetings from Denmark.

@@perennial-garden Thank you so much for your answer. I went back to older videos and saw the one where you explain how you painted the greenhouse from silver to black: that’s so much work! And the result is fantastic because it looks like it was manufactured in black ; Looks brand new, congratulations on your DIY skills! In France we are only allowed up to a 5m2 greenhouse without agreement of local authorities and extra taxes. That’s why I asked about the size; your greenhouse looks large enough for my needs, I was just wondering if it was above 5m2 😅 but had I known it came with the house, I wouldn’t have asked this question ; there’s no reason you should know it’s size 🤭 have a great week-end 🍀
