Just want to say, LK, that I absolutely love your videos. You are so wonderful at what you do - making these videos, styling, diy, thrifting, and speaking about all of these things. I really appreciate how real you are and how you engage with your community - addressing comments and questions. And how you address design in an approachable way for those who are new, or who have a lower budget, or wanting to be sustainable. Big love and hope you get all the engagement you deserve.

I love the dark brown shades, without the stripes in the breakfast nook, but I liked the red and green rug better than the plaid one - that's a personal preference though. I felt that it went well with the green towels you were thinking for the kitchen too. Lovely video as always! P.S. I have a blue glass candlestick of exactly same model as your green glass thrifted ones. I wish I had two, but I have it in the kitchen in a vignette and it matches my Greek blue tile!

For the price sticker on the teapot, try hitting it with a blow dryer. It may take off the whole original label too, but if the heat separates them you could read it.

Great updates! Please keep the dark brown shades in the breakfast nook and dining room. They definitely look great, ground the spaces and tie them together. A-N-D...please don't get rid of those orange/red items in the breakfast nook, I think they add an interesting balance to the yellow greens and browns. If you don't want them to "pop" as much, you can always add more things with similar colors. Thanks for such an enjoyable video.
@sandyfitchcorbett1782Ай бұрын
Can you paint your orange clock the color you want? Yay! I really like the black chair where you put it. I can not wear but a couple of scents. I have that chemistry that won’t let me wear much at all. Smells amazing on others. Turns on me and I get headaches and nausea.
@audrey5941Ай бұрын
I am a person so affected by smells. I really enjoyed the section where you discussed some of your fragrances. I think samples is the way to go. One doesn’t have to heavily invest to try something otherwise expensive. Also I recently realized a scent I wore in high school is still being made, so I bought a bottle just to enjoy the memory. Like you, I would never wear it now, but I do find myself picking up the bottle and sniffing it for a jolt of 1980. Sometimes, that is just needed to return to a far simpler time.

For the basket lamp shape perhaps line the inside with a muslin material or even tracing paper as a way to diffuse the look of the light bulb. I assume you're using an led light bulb of course.

I like all of the updates you made to your home! 2 things I had thoughts about - first, I think you should keep that wicker lampshade w/that lamp - I love how it looks. Perhaps you could glue a thin piece of fabric along the inside of the shade so u wouldn't see the lightbulb so clearly? or maybe a dimmer light? Also, although I'm sure you would find a clock that looks great for the kitchen - I actually really like the red/orange clock in their w/the same or similar colored (looks the same on camera) Pop lights - I love the "pop" of color & think it looks intentional & pulled together. Just my 2 cents! Always look forward to your thrift finds & any makeovers that you share. I look forward to the kitchen makeover!

Good idea on the lampshade!
@MelMc188Ай бұрын
Hmm for the Roman shades, I really like both options. The striped one is a bit more quirky and fun looking, which goes so nicely with the red sconces. The brown ones feel a bit more serious and ties in beautifully with the rest of the house. I guess it all depends on the vibe you want. I think for you, I would lean a bit more into adding personality to the space with the stripes. For me, I’d probably play it safe with the brown because I like things more cohesive, but sometimes I lean a little TOO cohesive. I guess the Roman shade mix up was a happy accident. I have no answers to which one is better

I have that same red rug from 🎯 in my kitchen. Also, I watched Orville Peck's home tour and he has the same rug in his kitchen. I love Two Pages. The stripe looked great but I can see how the darker color looks more cohesive. Love the video!

Hi. Thanks. I think the blinds’ colour is a preference🎨. I had dark (curtains) to match the floor, but they didn’t let morning light☀️ in so, I got depressed. I then placed pale shears in the middle to help me deal with the light, but I still wanted more. I then got light ones to match the wall, let the light in, but still let me sleep, added the shears back, and I love them. Most of my carpets are dark so show every crumb so, I just shake them out every other day🙂🙂🙂. Light rugs? I have to gently wash them in a cold water load. I used the wood boards in the hallway and kitchen. Just use steam to remove the that 9.99 price tag. That yellow Bundt pan😍 would be so fantastic for your kitchen wall. The IKEA lamp is a nice find so, perhaps a darker bulb? Or… a dark liner. The Asian pendant light matches the bathroom pedestal basin. Towels, forever? We change ours every week🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂, but darker ones during fall and winter, and Christmas colours too, for sure. Cheers🌬️🏡.

I think my master bath rivals your guestroom tiny bath I’m in an over 55 two bed two bath rental and it’s a beautiful home and the bathroom in the hallway is perfect large sink, large shower room to move around but the master in our room we call it a bathette lol A showerette. A sinkette and of course the toilette !!! I hung two wood shelves over the toilet and sprinkled the one bare wall with bird pictures that I think I’ll just keep adding to. It’s a beige color now in the future I might paint it’s something dark like a green or a deep rose. We’ll see but if you see your way through to it, I’d love to see that Bathette makeover lol.
