My father died early this year in the late winter. I've gotten so much trauma and abandonment and fears and burdens from this man, but I also loved him in my own way. This cover makes me sob so hard, it really encapsulates my feelings. No matter what happened, all the good and all the bad, it's over now. I'm grateful for how it was in the end and I'm grateful I've managed to deal with the things he put me through earlier in life. I can remember him fondly, it's bittersweet.

Just found this song, it is really beautiful. Yes, women will always rise again in victory, no matter what heartbreak she is put through. My heart isn't broken, but this hits me for a whole nother reason.
