By the looks of it, that sign near the river is showing how many bicycles passed by, you can see the sensor in the pavement. The building you like is called "Banovina" and is provincial government building. The building behind it is also part of it. The monument at the river is monument for victims of raids in 1942 where more than a thousand Serbs, Roma and Jews were killed at this place and thrown in the river.

It's a radar 28:37 that measures how many bikes have passed per day. And at the end, there are how many bikes passed that track in a year. :) Sensors are placed under the path that measure the passage of bicycles. :) There are several of these radars around Novi Sad that measure different tracks :)

We had the same problem as you with the ATM fees. In Subotica we used Adiko bank, and in Novi Sad Yettel bank for free. The rest wanted money for the withdrawals.

A few years ago 3 Scots founded a cider company in Vojvodina. It was called Scott's cider. Don't know if they are still around though.

I notice the alcohol market isn't very extensive in Serbia, in Russia they have got a massive range of beers, ciders, and of course vodkas.

No, we don't drink small beers, we drink those 2 liter :) Small ones are for tourists girls :) Heineken is not very popular, mostly because it's too expensive, but those you find in Serbian stores are actually made in Serbia (Apatin) and don't taste so much the same as i.e. Bavaria. Anyway, Novi Sad is cool - more than few times I went to Novi Sad for no purpose, but just to spend a relaxing day. And difference about shish kebab with normal Serbian cevapi is, aside shape, the meat used - Sis is Turkish/Moslem version, made usually from lamb meat, while Serbian classic are usually mix of pork and beef.

Yes, it is. As a Serbian i give you objective opinion. Big majority of Serbian cities are ugly. Except Vojvodina towns. Communist architecture, unplanned and unfinished houses, bad infrastructure, garbage... Nature is dissent. We have a lot of historic cities from different periods, prehistory, Roman empire , medieval, Ottoman empire.... Economy is bad, big majority of people working for 600 euros. Institutions are corrupt and chaotic. Because of that emigration in the West is very high. Serbian is very safe country, their is no dangers areas.
@TallTravelsАй бұрын
Yes, I'm actually half Serb myself and have been coming to Serbia since Tito was alive. I want to revisit Nis at some point, I have been fascinated by the Roman archaeological discoveries from that region especially.

Well, I've made some other Novi Sad videos. If I made a three hour video telling you everything then nobody would watch it :) one of the best things about Serbia are the friendly locals, so in future videos I will do some conversing with them, and report on the nightlife perhaps. As well as some exploration in Fruska Gora

To reply to my self there is also town that i liked before that for me had that similar vibe and its Split Croatia,combination off old town with socialist build buildings ,condos and streets with lot off young good looking university girls .But Split kind off fall off from my interest becase it became so popular for west tourist so you will now see tons and tons off very old west tourist that are kind off killing the vibe for me
