Novice Trick Dog - Arlo, hovawart

So recently I found out you can earn 'trick dog titles' (Do More With Your Dog) with your dog. There are different levels, and the first level is Novice. This is my attempt at getting it. I have slacked on (trick) training Arlo, because we had the basics down and that's all we needed in daily life. It seems fun however to try and polish up some tricks (as far as that's possible with him, ha) and earn us some ribbons :).

Would you recommend them for as a firts time dog. Got some experience, but never owned one myself.
