If God is all powerful and all knowing, then He created humans (including gay people) with the capacity to love one another and to find joy and meaning within that love. Not to hurt ourselves without good reason, to be in pain needlessly. Who are you to dictate His divine will, plan or intention. I can completely understand how people who believe that the world was created by something omnipotent can be so narrow-minded. The stories are as bright or as dark as those who tell them.
