The fact that you care enough about the pigs welfare to spend a couple of days feeding them in the trailer so they can used to it and aren't scared on their last drive really shows how much you care for your animals. Thats why I love this channel so much.

Exactly. Many small time farmers and homesteaders do their best to live by "only one bad day." And even then you want it to be as stress-free as absolutely possible. That's why I much prefer the idea of butchering at home instead of usda, because the trip there and the wait before their turn... and usually the workers don't give a shit about the stress and fear and just rush.

I'm in MA and I got one apple on my Scarlett Sentinel columnar apple tree. I have a Heritage apple tree called Roxbury and did not get a single apple this year. I recall the spring was odd with warm and then cold temps. The winter was pretty mild with no snow last year. I wonder if they did not get enough chill hours? If it was a good apple season it passed over me.

If the pigs are your biggest income, I would definitly get pigs the following year. Financial stability is a blessing + it makes for good content;)

I thought this was going to be about the other 3 disappearing. I was going to say the aliens developed a taste for BBQ & came backs for more 😂 👽

Nicely done! I do hope when you next get pigs you put a bit of effort into trying to get them from somewhere where their castration is done under anaestesia and they don't get their tails removed. Pigs feel just like dogs and I couldn't imagine you wanting to have your dogs experience something like that. Maybe you did put in that effort already and either didn't discuss it on camera or I missed it.
