All my old buildings have fallen down and I miss them. I need a place for junk and I don't have it anymore. Don't tear them down too soon!

Fresh Sawdust will compost a hog faster than dry planer shavings. Some times you can get Tree Service Chips for free.

Fact of life: If you have livestock, you have deadstock, too. I'm curious about the actual base product you are using. Sawdust, shavings, or chips? In my area, the latter is free, or you can even get paid to take them. How do you plan to deal with the major bones that don't break down completely? I know it's an unpleasant subject, and some may be offended, but it is what it is. A covered "pile" is a good idea, but be wary of the moisture %, spontaneous combustion does happen. I've known chicken litter to burn down a building. Great video, y'all, and I am looking forward to watching the project shape up!👍👍

If I'd have mixed groups like you do, they'd have torn each other apart? How do you avoid that happenning?

Compost with sawdust when I could, never had a problem with rodents, foxes or coyotes. Just have to cover them sufficiently

I like the progressive things you're doing on the farm. You could also look into raising black soldier fly larvae in hog manure and marketing the larvae to poultry farmers or possibly feed them to the pigs, if that's allowed. There are some good videos on youtube.......there's an African lady with some really good videos.

Some sorry sucker would pay a fortune for those “trashed” barn doors. Local to me some guy paid a farmer to demolish an old building piece by piece to reclaim the wood for trim pieces in his house. It’s not trash it’s “reclaimed barn wood”
