I'm happy with the win, we dominated and imposed ourselves in large spells of the game. In isolation I expected us to drop the concentration levels and energy levels as the game went on but externally it's worrying because those mistakes came in midfield, and we were all adamant that we'd fix the midfield before the start of the season which makes it frustrating externally. This is the season we should be going into the market and getting those additions we desperately need.

Just heard a reporter ask about Partey giving the ball away. That is all he saw? He did not see that we scored the two goals because Partey kept the team in momentum and rhythm and found the players at the right time when in attack. We have Villa, Brighton, Spuds then Man City, so by the time we get to Spuds we need to be back to how we were playing in the first few months of 2024, which is a big step up over the next four weeks by the looks of it.
