I’m getting goosebumps hearing you speak about teaching Gospel Principles because this very topic has been on my mind. When I was an investigator and baptised (15 years ago) I attended the GP class during the Sunday School hour. The class was taught by the missionaries and there I learned the basic doctrines of our religion from the manual, and I LOVED it. Our doctrine is SUBLIME. As I have served in the youth programme in recent years, I have wondered at times if our youth know and understand our doctrine! (Perhaps parents have assumed it’s been covered in Primary? Perhaps Primary leaders have assumed that it’s covered at home?) A GP class has recently started up again in our ward for investigators and the newly baptised, and I have been attending that instead of normal Sunday School because I love learning and re-learning our doctrine. When basic truths are testified of, the Holy Spirit confirms. I think that confirming witness is sometimes missing from normal Sunday School, where the prevailing order of things is for people to share their perspectives or opinions.

Thank you so much for your presentation and testimony 🙏 I am enjoying your videos. I share in the love and fascination you have with Native American indigenous culture. And the echoings that their ceremonies and rituals testify to us about truth. I wanted to share with you something I think you'll find interesting. You mention "remnant" a few times in this video. And I couldn't help but link our understanding of the remnant of the house of Israel to a passage I recently heard from the Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.5.25 where we may read from it's translation, " Once only, by their permission, I took the REMNANTS OF THEIR FOOD, and by so doing all my sins were at once eradicated. Thus being engaged, I became purified in heart, and at that time the very nature of the transcendentalist became attractive to me." and the spirit testified to me...isn't that so true about the partaking of the fruits brought forth by the remnant of the House of Israel! For doesn't their faithfulness serve as an example to others and to inspire them to follow God's teachings and avoid sin?! 🥳 Aren't they as those who recognize Jesus as the Messiah and by their faith helps to pave the way for the salvation of all humanity?! 🥳 And do we not understand too that the remnant is not limited to physical descendants of Israel, but anyone who follows Jesus' teachings? And that these individuals strive for purity of heart and act as a light to the world, offering an alternative to sin?! 🥳 Mind blown 🤯 May we remember the fruits of the spirit 🙏 May we remember the tree in Lehi's dream 🙏 May we become the tree and be providers of the fruit and not only partakers 🙏 May we remember how to do determine a good seed from one that is bad 🙏 May we remember that words we choose to share are akin to good and bad seeds that can be supplanted within the heart-soil of people exposed to those words 🙏 May we remember to be actively doing the opposites of the "thou shalt not" type commandments 🙏 May we remember that good water even living water cannot come from a bitter fountain 🙏 May we remember to actively honor our 13th Article of Faith, "If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.” 🙏 May we remember to stand as a witness of Him at ALL times, in ALL things, and in ALL places and not just for a portion of these things 🙏

Gospel principles class was a great way to gain testimonies of things that might be hard for us individually. I remember gaining a better testimony of tithing in that class which has always been a struggle for me. I’ve tried to always pay it but it’s been a difficult thing and that class can be a great opportunity to work through tough principles for us individually since we are all different.

My family history shows I am descended from 2 ancient lineages of High kings of Ireland.
@michelevallejo4416 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for posting your lineage! I too just found out that I’m descended from one of the Kings of Ireland back around the 1200’s and now I wonder if we are related. Do you have the names of those kings?
@Thehaystack79996 ай бұрын
@@michelevallejo441 the furthest back I found was I think 500AD, but all royal lineages typically intermarried and are intertwined at some point, I think that nearly all alive today are of royal dependency even beyond biblical peoples. We literally have become nations and descendants of kings and priests, the difference is who is anointed and who is anointed by authority. It is nice to know that we came from the actual lineage of kings, rather than the cousin or brother of the king 😆 which is what I thought I had until I kept looking further. But at the same time one of the lineages I had gained the high kingship after avenging his father’s death who was killed by the previous high king and my ancestor as a low king killed/avenged a d became high king. So not very pretty, but it’s cool that this form of kingships also were among the Lamanites with King Lamoni and his father.
@TheHappyLadyChannel6 ай бұрын
@@michelevallejo441 I shared the king's names in a video about the Tuatha De Denan. I'll see if I can find it.
@michelevallejo4416 ай бұрын
Thank you for replying! I thought no you are correct about all of us descending from kings and priests. My daughter just got done telling me that it are the strong that survive. The weak are killed off. So for us to be here today, we would have had to come from very strong bloodlines. I never thought about it that way until she said that to me. We truly have to be strong spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally and psychologically because we are the survivors. We have learned to cope with anything thrown our way. I personally know that without Jesus Christ in my life, I would not have been able to do it alone. He is my Rock!

Seriously 1500 buffalo died in 2023? That breaks my animal loving heart!😢 Also, one of the Seventies said in Conference that we could be having a marriage class during Sunday school. In 2022…I think. And Gospel principles is taught in the mission field. Maybe needs to be done more in Utah. Thanks

Today I went to the Petroglyph National Monument here in New Mexico. Many of the petroglyphs are not identified, none are explained, only that they have sacred meanings. One symbol in the scriptures that i have wondered about is the snake. It seems to be a symbol of Jesus Christ. I didn't understand, until i became aware of the prevelance of snakes in sacred native symbology. I understand that the snake is a symbol of progress. What a apropos symbol for the One who makes all progress possible! Also, snake is a symbol of humility. It crawls on its belly, descends below them all.
