Could you do a follow up vlog of it now? Since, a few of the lines are near finishing like small part of Joka Metro, New Garia - Airport etc, has any of this line will be getting such type of metro? Cuz we always receive verious updates about Kolkata Metro, but finally we receive the junks of ICF only.

Zhuzhou rakes are meant for Line 3 right?. Anyways Dawonsys design puts Kolkata now in the league of Delhi's Bombardier and Alstom though. 😬 Way to go.

@@tukaidas1272 Too difficult to expect anything bigger than this for Kolkata Metro, unless an until the WB state Govt picks up some stake. Only then shall it get ample funds for better Metro rakes, like in Delhi or elsewhere...

CRRC Dalian is probably for Line 6. 26 ICF Medha s Existing ICF AC rakes are enough for line 1

As of now, Dalian ones will be put into Line 1 as the non AC ones will be phased out. The entire line 1 of 32km will be served by 13+16+14=43 rakes, which would be enough to maintain a 2 min interval when the system is upgraded to CBTC

Dada tumi New Garia - Airport metro corridor'er opor akta detailed construction video bana te parbe? I used to travel in that route almost every week day as my school is just opposite to Metro Cash And Carry or Jatindra Nath Nandy metro station. Since for lockdown I cannot see the stretch and the construction update. So can you please make a video on this?

Me too,i have to regularly use bypass. Need that line more than the other ones. North south or east west line are not at all useful for me or someone who lives in rajarhat. Hope they focus on this side as well as Newtown is growing rapidity along with traffic,so metro is necessary here asap

Mrb,is any construction works going on in Kolkata? Cause I heard that Mumbai construction is going in full swing and tallah destruction is also taking place. I believe now is the perfect time,for installation of cbtc signalling in North south,and installing piers along bypass as you won't get much less traffic ever in future,also closing a line for upgrading is a problem. Would love if you could forward this suggestion to metro officials,I don't think cbtc needs so many workers working together so work can progress a lot🙏

It will be Icf, MCF with South Korea,Beml and China. Rcf doesn't makes metro coaches if they start producing metro rakes with in few years we will include them also in this list.

Hopefully south Korea and European coaches like alstom no more Chinese rakes contract cancellations for the present will not be known for the next three months!

MCF will make those south Korean technology metro coaches. All Chinese metro rakes contract are not cancelled.

@@tukaidas1272 CRRC dalian rakes trials are nearly complete and it has performed way better than icf but due to coronavirus trials couldn't be completed yet. It took icf 3 years to rectify and fixed the issues of icf medha metro rakes. Beml rakes are already running on east west metro.

@@suvadeepsaha3162 I think i understand mcf will manufacture metro coaches,already bombardier manufactures broad gauge metro coaches in use at Delhi metro. Standard gauge by beml&alstom. Decision to cancel doesn't come in three hours so I said three months. After three months we can come to the conclusion wether cancelled or it is still alive the contract or not!

@@ruprajsengupta2920 I can't tell you that whether the Chinese rakes contract will be cancelled or not.Only 2 Chinese companies has got the contract CRRC dalian for north south line and CRRC Zhou Zhou for joka esplanade route. But I think 14 CRRC dalian rakes which was on order will come because 1 rake has already come and it's trials are nearly complete. Now bombardier will no longer be there because Alstom has bought bombardier and its name will be changed into Alstom.

After all the talks about technology, atmanirbhar Bharath etc etc etc, we are still relying on foreign countries for technology and we hardly see any effort being made towards implementation of research and development in the fields of science, infrastructure, technology etc. What are units likes ICF and others doing? Why is it such a challenge to set up a rail research and development company or enterprice which will and must focus on what kind of trains must rain in India, including the metro rails, let's say in 2025. Unless we start working keeping atleast 5 or 10yrs vision, we will never ever be able to catch up with kora or china or USA or Eeurope etc, instead we will have to only satisfy ourselves with words and thoughts like self.reliance and all that. Big time importance must be given for research and development in all sections and departments of our country. it's high time we do this.

4:35 you said 4 MCF rakes are enough. But having spare rakes is also good to cater to the extra rush which begins before Durga Puja.

Will all the routes, other than EW metro, have the same track gauge and shell width as the North South route? It would be quite a regressive move then as the weird combination isn't manufactured by most of the rake companies

Kolkata people need to protest and demand increase frequency of local trains like in Mumbai. Introducing cbtc signal system for suburban railways will be a boon. Mumbai suburban railways is planning to introduce cbtc signal system in a year or two.

All different types of coaches & manufacturers in Kolkata Metro. I think BEML & MCF is better than ICF.

Why donot you cover Trolley Bus. In India we have been talking and also introducing battery operated buses in cities. But actually Trolley Buses are better hassle free options and could be a replacement of Trams also. You will find many cities in the world with Trolley buses but I liked one at Budapest, Hungary. This trolley buses made by Skoda can travel 4 KMs without overhead traction by its battery which will be charged when traction available. I can suggest to review Trolley buses at Budapest infront of Liberty bridge(Central Market side) in detail and propose Indian cities authorities to think for a better planning.

Why not implementing TOT which is already adapted by Alstom in India? This brand is popular for reliability and safety around the world. Why waste so much time turning this into reality unless KMRC has no plan to extend services within few years.

Alstom didn't give any TOT to Indian Railways. What they did was for making Locomotives, not metro.

Hyderabad Metro uses standard gauge Hyundai ROTEM Korean rakes..How are these different from the one used in Hyderabad Metro

Not much, the main difference is traction. Hyderabad uses 25kv AC Overhead Electrification (OHE), when Kolkata uses 750V DC Third Rail.

We will be making them. In fact, Kolkata-based company Titagarh Firema will be manufacturing aluminium coaches for Pune Metro. Doesn't matter that Firema was an Italian company acquired by Titagarh Wagons because now it's an Indian company under Titagarh. The Pune Metro coaches will be made from scratch.

Recently I have seen many of new coaches on truck trailer standing near Akanka more Rajarhat for eco park metro.

Maybe some issues at Central park end or police permission wasn't given for that time.. But the final destination is central park depot only. I had also seen a few of them parked on trucks just infront of Westside mall.

absolutely bonkers decisions. We have titagarh here which makes coaches for pune metro and here we are outsourcing our resources to foreign companies???
