Scott brings the Phis spirit along to the future in a greatest way. Never forget the greatness of Phi..

Sitting here crying. This is astonishing. Zachary understood Phil. Ochs is the most important writer of our lifetime. Period.💜

Saw Phil in 1968 in Columbus Ohio at a Eugene Mccarthy political rally and it still is the most influential performance I ever was a part of.

Have just stumbled upon this post and it blew me away! Zachary has reincarnated Phil Ochs perfectly … the voice, the style of playing the guitar, speaking … unbelievable! Thanks so much for posting this. Hope we see a lot more of this guy.

This makes me want a full film biopic with Zachary Stevenson as Phil Ochs

Sad thing is you may only find two in ten people who have ever heard of Phil. I still listen to his (vinyl) albums. It’s memorable from the 60’s “oh I am just a student sir and I only want to learn, but it’s hard to read through the rising smoke of the books that you love to burn”

Wonderful concert. Loved Phil, saw his Good Friday concerts in Carnegie Hall every year after years of seeing in the Village. Interviewed his warm sister several times for a Dylan class I taught for a decade. It MUST be noted that his last years were ruinous and that his suicide will always be a tragedy. Bob. ❤

Zachary is Phil's vocal doppelganger. So amazing 👏

Circle of Friends is the first Phil song I remember when I was a kid... late sixties on the school bus. At the same time I had a buddy who’s dad was a Democratic Socialist (didn’t know what that was) who had some Phil albums. He was a Korean War Vet. This is great! Thanks!

We saw Zachary in The Buddy Holly Story in London Ontario and he told us he was working on a Phil Ochs person play. Please prominently publicize when you hit the boards!! This was brilliant and as noted now more than ever needed.

If anything, we need his songs and his energy FAR MORE than 60 years ago. The brink was more of a scary theory, then. Now...

I’m 82 but this took me back to my 20’s, I think my heart skipped a beat. What would Phil think of today’s liberals. I say JFK would be rolling over in his grave if he could see today’s liberals.

Great job 👍 Phil would never ever get a chance to sing these types of tunes in this century as we are completely controlled in every aspect of our lives plus he would be totally vilified by everyone for sure but still a great voice and awesome melodies to listen to still

My favorite phil ochs song is power and glory. This land is filled with glory but thare are those have to hate they twist away our freedom and twist away our faith they use law and fear to divide and conquer us (Republican Democrat) the turn us against one another

Ochs used to joke about it being Joan's song since her version was played on the radio.
