Fun trivia fact: here, in Poland, publisher translated Roam as Here and There, so it's kind of already trilogy here even before this one :)

Just played my first game of this in preparation for a campaign. I have to say there seems to be a decent amount of depth to the town building and I'm excited to play more.

The town building wasn’t a specific draw for me, but I do like the overall resource flow.

Thanks for introducing me to this game, Jason. I had a great time playing it! It's such an amazing coincidence that I ended up playing the same character you did, completing the quest to turn mana into shells and experience in the first season, and then we even had the same final quest that called for 5 unspent experience points. My score was only 162, so you beat me there! Great video, too!

Thanks Jason, really enjoyed watching along. Except for when you didn't set the hog free. Poor little piggy with his razor sharp tusks. What harm could he possibly do? lol Not taken any real notice of this series of games tbh but I can see why they are very popular with the solo community.

When making choices, the consequence is right there in the book as well. Do you find it difficult to "not see" it and make an unbiased decision? That seems like something that would be hard to ignore, but perhaps it doesn't matter?

It doesn't matter too much. Usually, the higher skill option yields a bit more experience. Judging whether to go for the bonus is a real decision, since sometimes it's common like a tool. but sometimes it's a really good reward. Once you're in the flow, it's not that hard to just focus on the bold, capitalized text, which are the choices. The book is smart to do it that way. If that doesn't feel like enough to avoid reading on, then it might be a tough solo experience.

Fire snails!? Sounds like escargot vindaloo. No thanks. As much as I like a curry, that sounds dreadful! lol
