Like I said before you're my favorite Jocelyn what I like so much about you compared to anybody else doing this is THAT you talk about all other objects and tell us what it is and how much it is even if you're not buying it You have me spoiled I used to not look at glass Ware at all now I look at it and say this is what Jocelyn would buy and check for chips Keep up the good work

1:14 I love Basset Hounds! They’ve been my favorite kind of dog since I was two. Word of caution to antique owners who want one though. My Basset had good genes so he had very long ears, very short legs, and drooled a lot! Unfortunately his drool got everywhere when he shook his head, and that included on my antique Welsh cabinet. I didn’t notice the drool right away, so it had set for a a little while on the cabinet . When I gently wiped it off it wasn’t completely dry, but it took the finish right off of my antique!😳😬!!!

Awww. Gotta love them! The one I was talking about died in 2011. My husband got me another one a couple of months later. I love the newer one, but the other one will always be mine and my family’s favorite. I can’t imagine my life without a hound in it. 😁

I love Chintz China because I am a quilter!!!!! Chintz was made from copying actual fabric by transfer to the pieces during hard times for something bright and colorful AND affordable for people to buy. 30's Colorful Fabrics are another example of a way the manufacturing industry was trying to brighten people's otherwise dull lives during the Depression!!

I have a milk pitcher with a cat handle similar to the one you looked at. I bought it years ago from a lady who was cleaning out her grandmother's estate. It has a large, shallow chip on the outside of the spout that has been there a long while. I still love it though and I doubt if I ever get rid of it. It has slight crazing and it is beautiful.

@lesahanners50574 жыл бұрын
@@CrazyLampLady I was pretty sure that was the reason you passed them by. I lucked out so well a few month ago on a delightful quilt here. I picked up a nearly perfect 1860's - 70's, applique quilt, done in Mexican Rose pattern. The store owner thought it was made in the 1940's, but she knew nothing about textiles. I got it for $75 and couldn't believe it. The thing is a masterpiece of sewing, (all by hand). 13 stitches to the inch and every way the person who stitched it could make it more complicated, they did. It is now the pride of my collection. I share your love of owls and am a sucker for nearly anything owly, so I love it when you find them. Thanks for another fun trek through the antique mall.
