Kinda low-key impressed by the (unintentional?) RP from the Skaven player there- only their low value clanrats and Skavenslaves really suffered, leaving them with around 3-4x the amount of troops their 'allies' had remaining. I don't know about you guys, but I think it's truly Skaven of them to let their 'friends' do the brunt of the dying while they stay around to claim the credit and share in the accolades!

Skaven player here and yes I did bring lots of slaves and clanrats to use as fodder! I took my time with it and my "allies" just weren't as patient as I was so I didn't mind them tiring out the lizards one bit (I did mind that orbital bombardment though O_o). As Indy points out I used a methodical leapfrog approach with my ratling gunners into the city. The vanguard of doomflayers and doomwheel were trying to draw out his forces into my firing lines but jurassic kept his cool and maintained ranks despite being assailed. I wanted to use the assassin to eliminate large targets and the warlock engineers to blast away lizard infantry but the assassin got shrekked by the amaxon barb and the engineers never got good firing angles. All in all another great victory for Skavendom!

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think siege battles could be fixes easily: 1- Reduce the range of tower significantly, increase their fire rate and space them apart. 2- Make walls buff defender unit and / or debuff attacking units. Buffs / debuffs could be made thematic based on the settlement's race, IE: dark elf walls cause fear on attackers while high elf increase moral of defenders.

it was pretty easy to tell the outcome once I saw that there was barely any anti large for the lizards what were they thinking when going against chaos and norsca. skavens might not bring a lot of large stuff but the other factions would so why didn't they have a lot more spears or some temple guard.

@@battlefuta9953 Yeah. The lack of both range and Anti Large was a big mistake on their part. They had a bunch of saurus to hold the line and a fuckton of tools to get rid of lots of infantry quickly, but they wasted a lot of that on marauders and clanrats.

I love these sieges but they always seem very one sided ultimately there wasn't really anything the lizards could of done when there are just that many attackers an this is mirrored in other sieges no matter what amazing plays like that engine of the gods the defenders make even if they bring the right tools they just always get swamped and picked off it just doesn't feel fair but it is awesome keep up the good work

There's a comment like this on every video, "this faction NEVER WINS, defenders NEVER win, its not fair!!!!!!!". Its a bit frustrating to read consistently because one, its not actually true, and two, I go out of my way to ensure that I collect replays where a wide variety of factions (attackers and defenders) win and get to showcase their best stuff. So when I upload High Elves or Lizardmen winning a bunch of games, and then the first comment i read on their first loss in awhile is "HIGH ELVES SO BAD THEY LOSE EVERY GAME REEEEE", thats annoying ;P As I said in the video, these are notoriously hard to balance because if you give both sides even funds, defenders often dont have to do anything but AFK to win, and theres nothing satisfying or interesting about defenders that outnumber the attackers. But you've really never seen defenders win a SINGLE siege since the Medieval 2 days, REALLY? If thats the case, you need to watch a lot more videos, or you're selectively remembering. I have dozens of sieges on KZbin, many of them coming right down to the wire and plenty with the defenders winning too, so not sure why you feel as though they are "always one sided". The defenders won in a nailbiter with just their Lord left in literally the last siege I did for Wolfenburg

milkandcookiesTW Well goddamn, I did not expect to get roasted like that. A couple things, yeah obviously I’ve seen defenders win, it’s just that usually attackers win. It’s never been a faction thing for me, I don’t care wether it’s HE or Empire or Greenskins or whatever. I get that it all comes down to player skill and teamwork. I’m just pointing out that the rules that lead to defenders losing at least 7 or 8 times out of 10 are getting kinda boring and clearly could be better balanced. I love your channel and you always have fun, interesting, and unique commentary on your battles which is why I keep coming back. It’s just my personal experience between playing and watching battles that attackers have a much higher tendency to win, and it can take the excitement out of a battle. Love the content though and keep it up! Also big props for actually reading your comment section.

I don't think that white blast is a soul quench, Mazdamundi just has a ranged attack that looks kinda like that in SFO. It does about 200 damage 50% AP with another 200 explosive damage and 250 range, but he yeets it right into the backs of his lizardmen rather often since his scooter floats kinda low. It has a really long reload time almost 30 seconds.

I really wish in total warhammer 3 they would buff up empire lords, like not phsycially but like how wood elves lords fight in melee and then pull out a bow to shoot, it would be nice if human witch hunters etc.. would do that with their gun and it could actually do some more damage instead of like 300AA like more armor penetrations but with a cd, or having like a grenade item for like 50 or 100g to use as a lord in melee combat or just to throw.

I kind of agree there. I think Empire Generals are way too melee-centric, I feel like giving them a pistol and in exchange nerfing their melee a little (especially the griffons, I mean, dear Sigmar, those things are over the top) would be a good trade-off.

Nah. Lizardmen are alright at defensive siege battles. The standart for being utterly horrible at defending settlements has always been and still is set by the Greenskins (I guess Beastmen would suck at it, too, but they don't have settlements).

Several possible reasons: 1: The Norsca player just completely forgot about that orbital laser, you don't see it a lot in multiplayer 2: It was a pathing issue with getting up that ramp 3: The match was more for the sake of being epic rather than really trying to win and the Norsca player didn't actively try and deny the enemy opportunities to use their glorious super weapons.
