The thing about losing a pet, for some people(like myself) it was more then a pet, my dog saved my life so many times I’m still grieving his loss years and years later. The loss devastated me. I physically cannot live without one. HOWEVER, I don’t immediately go up to a widow and compare it because I understand the societal differences of a 12 year average furball and a life partner, even if the closest things in my life I’ll ever aim for is probably said furball’s. They are not, and never will be, considered the same thing by everyone(especially those that just lost someone).
@filb13243 ай бұрын
It's not about one loss being more or less "important" than the other, it's about the fact the relationship with your pet vs the relationship with your significant other are supposed to be different and uncomparable in nature And of course it's unsensible to not choose your words carefully with someone grieving

@@VladRadu-tq1pg I had a cat for 10 years that passed away due to cancer not so long ago. She was like family to me. That was a very hard loss to deal with but there is no way in hell it can compare to losing a significant other such as a wife or husband in this case. The only way I would somewhat understand comparing it is if that person had no one else in their life they could love and it was pretty much just them and their pet.
@filb13243 ай бұрын
@@VladRadu-tq1pg I try to not be specist, so I consider animal life to be in equal value to human life. Losing a pet is like losing a member of my familly Still I perfectly see why it was uncalled for to make this comparaison in the conversation showed in the video. Thoses two lost aren't comparable because you are not suppose to have the same relationship with your dog that you have with your husband It's not even about one loss being more "important", jt's about thoses two kind of relationship being incomparable in nature

@@thegrimreaper9552I had two cats. Both died at some point. Nowadays I have another cat which got lost for three days. I really wasn’t well and even cried. Btw it only freezes once a year in texas so i had on my emergency cold stuff for my heavy manual labor job, lots of layers so i can take some off so i dont sweat too much. With a black big ski mask on and my hands in my pockets i walk in and the two employees turn and look at me with panicked looks. I waved and said "im unarmed" and they both laughed and said "we were genuinely scared for a second." Im not gonna dress badly and be cold just because of that, but ill make sure to not walk or be intimidating while i am wearing that stuff if possible.
