It's not just the voice acting. It's the facial animations. Unity and Syndicate had the best mocap style facial animations in AC. You can see the details in the emotions while delivering the dialogue, whether they're being serious or sarcastic.

To be honest, as an AC fan, they already got on my nerves in the intro mission, when they kept calling each other's full names out, repeatedly. I was like "Okay, we get it, your names are Jacob and Evie Frye, for fuck's sake!" and then the AI, when I snapped a rope to make some suspended objects fall on a guard at the station and all of them, rather than their attention being directed at the scene, staring at what happened, they were instantly alerted and my last known position, kneeling hidden on the roof, out of their line of sight, was immediately displayed via that ghost-like image, to let me know they've made my position, the instant their comrade went down. That's where I already had enough of the poor AI. Barely made it past the early mission of mucking around at some pump-station or whatever, before I just stopped playing. Played Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla, of course, but this one was just annoying.

The thing that shocked me was how much, hours, I've spent clearing just the introductory/starting village and THEN the title came up on screen. I was like "THAT was just the intro!?" Same feeling I had with Rogue, where when I got to a point where I could explore with a ship and I opened up the world map, for the first time and saw how many places I could go, I was actually crying like "Nooooo, I don't wanna have to do this, again." 'Cause it was all cool in Black Flag, but also a little too much. Gotta say, though, I liked Shay's character. Edward, too.

Don't forget a game does all these things in an interactive format too. You're interacting with the story, visuals, sounds, etc. And in some games, you can change (or make slight alterations) to the story. While other mediums can offer interactivity, it is more limited on what can be offered.

@@bronzejourney5784 There have been books made in a Choose Your Own Adventure style, which offers some interactivity in this format. As have some DVDs/Online series offered something similar. Tabletop RPGs, like Dungeons and Dragons, would offer the best in terms of interactivity due to their unlimited freedom. The limit here is down to players and GM. I wouldn't say that other mediums are outdated or superior, just a different format. Books (and audio books) are vastly superior in using your imagination compared to other mediums, due to having to imagine the content. But I do agree that video games offer something completely different in terms of entertainment. It does at least make you use your brain more.

I think the real downgrade in performance is *after* Origins. Origins still had a lot of good moments, like when Bayek was furious and stabbed a man with said man's mask, and Bayek and Aya's couple moments, but due to how large the game is it feels less common than in previous games. Odyssey onwards felt like there's a loss in personality. There is still some personality, don't get me wrong, but not to the level of the previous games.

I guess the best way to describe Odyssey and Vahalla is they're not really Assassin's Creed games but just a lite RPG with an AC skin. Origins went a little off rails but still felt like AC to some degree but felt more like a okish fan-game. Sadly though, damage has been done for some players. I quit after Origins and seeing what Odyssey was like, Valhalla was just the final nail on the coffin. But that said, I've just given up on Ubisoft at this point. Syndicate felt like the last true AC game. I don't mean in terms of the gameplay, but the general feel/vibe of the game you get. That quality which is lacking. But hey, some people enjoy the new ones, that's fine.

Syndicate is my #1 favourite, but it's a bit of a shame they never mentioned the Assassins that the Fry twins escaped from in the beginning. The Fry twins seem to be one of the most notorious assassins. They went missing (into London) and it's like the Assassins never cared to search for them.

Vocing and dialogues were always the best part in Syndicate. Hell, Maxwell Roth is one of (if not the most) charismatic villains from all of assassins and he has what, 3 missions in the game? And he's posed more threat than Starrick did for sure

A simple word can describe this and that is Beautiful. Not only was the acting phenomenal but it was clearly backed up by incredibly written dialogue and what seems to be an excellent story.

I actually really liked AC Syndicate and i love those two. The chemesty, bond, relationship-friendship between siblings was so good, convicing and awesome imo. And the acting from the actors was top tier, i wish we could got more of Evie and Jacob.

Syndicate was where the game's stealth mechanic was at its peak, with how they brought back the whistle and sleep knifes the stealth feels alot better than AC Unity, still pretty bummed out at the fact that they butchered the parkour mechanic though.. London was such a good setting for a parkour playground.

This scene was top tier Assassin's Creed voice acting, on level with Cesare, Rodrigo, and Lucrezia Borgia in the Castel Sant'Angelo in AC Brotherhood. This scene, of course, was a lot more light and optimistic than Pope Alexander VI living his final moments, but both trios of actors shined in their respective games, and the interactions between them were flawless.

Syndicate in general was almost too light and too optimistic from start to finish. Not to diminish the things it actually does well or anything. The sibling banter was good, I just wish their drama didn't escalate so late and magically resolve so fast.

Honestly like the Frye twins since first time playing Syndicate Aside from a few crash from the game.......I like story more than Ezio trilogy(the latter are my second AC games), not than the former are better, it's just never hit me the same

I've played probably every AC game and Syndicate is by far my favorite, mostly because of Jacob and Evie. They really missed out in this game to more fully develop these two characters, their banter, and their relationship with each other instead of focusing on the kinda lackluster main story.

people may not enjoy syndicate, but i love it. It was my first AC Game, and even though i did not understand a lot the first time. I was amazed by the world they had built, and the gameplay. And i fell in love with the Arkham style zip-line. It was so good.

Ac games dialogue before RPG series feels like human interaction with each other... Yes, sometimes the dialogue is... Questionable and cringe.. but there's personality to it. While the RPG series dialogue (yes i'm including Mirage since it was supposed to be Valhalla DLC) feels like 2 doll talking to each other with much personality and tone of 2013 robot AI, it feels stiff and they talk more with their hands to express than to literally express
