Everyone mentions Water 7 having an old city beneath it and being engineered into a floating island by Iceberg (just realized how perfect that name is for what he's doing)... but no one is talking about how Moria went to Wano, got murked, stole a bunch of shit, then built his own floating island. The guy definitely knows something, and I'm really hoping he comes back into the story. It also would be really unlike Oda to kill both Absalom and Moria to give their fruits to the Blackbeard pirates.

Might not be anything and i havent read it yet but I remember seeing something about the Book of Enoch and that the reason for the great flood and Noahs Ark is because God was cleansing the world of all hybrid "abominations" that came from Angels getting together with humans and their offspring would be giants and things like that. Maybe Oda took inspiration from that. But like I said, i haven't read much into it.

Shank’s crew is going to be so broken when it comes to finding the One Piece (which is underwater), as only non devil fruit users have access to it. I don't think there's ever been a more thematically appropriate cover spread for a chapter called "Stalemate" than Robin using the other Straw Hats as chess pieces. And I want an actual chess set. And then play Luffy as the Queen and Nami as the King. I'm underwhelmed by Punk Records. I expected it just to be bits of grey matter everywhere, piled high in different mounds. Like a junkyard, landfill, or sand dunes of just brains. I love that this is an allegory to real life with the poles melting and rising sea levels. Also, I saw Morgans' line translated as "print news is dead.” I mean Vegapunk has now basically created radio and TV news.

Island movers have their name for a reason. Some islands didn't always block the red line. Like the Suez canal on our earth, I expect the water on either side of the Red Line is at different heights as well. Presumably, the blocking of the Red Line caused the sea level on one side to drop thanks to a certain plug hole, with the water being fed to Reverse Mountain (a fountain). I assume that 'come the final act', the island boats will be removed from the mouth of the Red Line somehow. Maybe Luffy and Bonney can warp the land enough, maybe they'll befriend some Sea Kings, and some Island movers. Maybe Laboon will be bigger and stronger than any whale in history, his own dream fulfilled, and his reunion with Brook will have us all shedding tears. (you know that's gonna happen no matter what).

its crazy how even after reading for 10+ years Oda still manages to give answers while giving so many more questions. does the WG have a way to control the moon? the moon moving closer to earth would destroy the world with tsunamis, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. it would answer some questions on Akainu and whitebeards fruits if the world was being destroyed by magma and earthquakes people are gonna wish for the power to stop/control them. now the theory of destroying the red line doesnt actually matter now if the worlds oceans rise the red line will be the only safe place. I don’t think that the world sinking into the sea is something that’ll happen naturally, I think it’s something the Imu is planning, and here’s why: 1. The location of Marijoa, 10k meters on top of the Red Line. Imu can sink the world into the sea without worrying about what will happen to him/her and the Celestial Dragons. 2. When Imu destroyed Lulusia it made the sea level rise, Imu wouldn’t do something like that unless he was aware of the consequences of destroying an island. 3. The Celestial Dragons suits can foreshadow the sinking of the world. They look like astronaut suits but they can also be viewed as diving suits. 4. The Noah ark. Joy Boy knew about the Government’s plan to sink the world. He probably assumed that sinking the world into the bottom of the ocean will destroy Fishman Island, which is located at the bottom of the ocean, so he designed the Noah with the help of Poseidon in order to ensure the safe evacuation of the Fishmen when the time comes. 5. Oden’s intention to open the borders of Wano. We learned that the old Wano was drowned and the new Wano was built somewhere in the middle of the huge mountain of Wano. Opening the borders will allow all of the trapped water to escaped back into the sea, which won’t affect the sea level that much considering how vast the sea is in the One Piece world, allowing the new Wano to remain safe in case the sea level will rise due to Imu’s plan. That is the real reason why the Gorosei were relieved when Momo decided not to open the borders, that and the existence of Pluton.

It could be something Imu and the Gorosei have been planning as the "great cleansing" they have mentioned but it's also in Oda fashion for it to happen another way despite foreshadowing it via Imu and the Gorosei, aka via Luffy/Ancient Weapons. Because if he destroys the red line like many people suspect to connect the seas, those chunks of rock falling into the water would certainly cause the sea level to raise if just destroying an Island with the mother flame was enough to raise it a meter.

I think it's due to an ouroboros cycle with the world of one piece, where the climate has shifts every 400 or 800 years, and the poneglyphs tell of this great flooding, so with Imu and the gorosei knowing this, they took control of one of the highest points in the world in order to avoid being "cleansed". Imu and the WG is playing the long game, making sure nobody can learn of the flood, and thereby allowing the rest of the world to be flooded, to achieve total world domination and control.
