I think this statement would be more coercion. Because most fishman still harbors hate against humans. Luffy would want everyone to be under one sun getting along. But some don’t want it because the island serves like a prison and they got used to it. It’s a reoccurring theme since pre timeskip. The way how nami’s room got destroyed by luffy so she could be free, sanji shackling himself on the restaurant, chopper(coercion to join), robin (destroying that shackle of the wg), there’s more. Also, the fact that Oda brings real world problem into this "fictional pirate" story makes me cry without tears after reading this chapter because it feels so refined in a lot of aspect. Last, the GOAT Gol D Roger staring era of pirates to brings people going sail into sea also makes me speechless.

If you see the longitudinal section of the final view of present-day Wano, the sea-water level outside the border walls is above the old Wano land lending evidence to the fact that the water has in fact risen significantly. (chapter 1055's pg-8, 3rd panel of the old Wano)

Long Ring Long Land could also be like Wano, but without a mountain in the center to build on and the walls not as high (unless the waters on that side of the grand line are higher) so its people became nomads and moved to live on the walls peaks. it also seems that it is effected by the Aqua Laguna each year, causing a drastic drop in the water table and revealing more of the walls allowing them to cross to the next island.

One thing about the red line being artificial that is not talked about enough is the tree of eve. The roots bring light (however that works) to fishman island. That means the tree has to be subjected to light somewhere. Trees cannot grow within stone so the tree must be older than the red line

when I picture the eve tree being released from the red line if its in there is gear 5 luffy fighting someone and he hits the red line and the ground cracks and as the dust slowly fades the cracks the impact made slowly starting to glow as Luffy laughs he's ass off before noticing and getting excited as beams of light shoot out of them before falling away to reveal the tree
