I have literally been using my cell phone to flash over Wi-Fi since day one matter fact you're the one who showed me how to do that it's so much easier to use the phone and it is to try to connect to Wi-Fi over my computer

Been using this app since the V2 adapter, love it, great way to make some tweeks in the field. But for now I'm holding off on the ELRS config via this app tried it but it was still to buggy and the feedback to the UI wasn't always very clear to me. A+ for incorporating it. In future updates I'm sure it will be great.

5:33 You can set up a chroot Debian environment on your smartphone, build the ExpressLRS configurator for ARM (or use Box64 as a translation layer) and then flash it via Wifi as you would. Or simply use a Pinephone running Arch instead of Android. That said, I don't think any of these methods, including the proprietary app presented here, are worth using because flashing your RX is not something I would expect many people to need in the field. Still, cool feature, Speedybee really improve their app with every new release.

I always put the ELRS-Firmware I build at home in a folder on my phone and can update it via the webbrowser. I can't imagine a situation where I want to flash a complete new/different version in the field...

I almost clicked or used that earlier today . But i was busy needed betaflight on new frsky rxsr . And zorro automatically selected protocol , subtypes , options and asked " bind ? " So i clicked did i clicked "bind ". Beep beep it was done .

What are you talking about willis I swear it was you that told me to save the most recent RX firmware files to my phone in case I needed to flash a RX in the field. This method works great, not sure about TX firmware. In other news I can't figure out how to set this up on my new Bardwell TX16s I want to use SF back + SH Back= arm then SF forward + SH Back to disarm. I have tried a lot of different things including making SH a latching momentary switch on a logic Channel, then creating 2 logical switches that would control my channel 5 arm, i can only seem to create a dual switch arm and single switch disarm setup.

I reached out to Radiomaster asking when/if they will release the elrs internal module in the mark ii. They responded, “As for the product you mentioned, we have plans to sell it in the future. Currently, we are still studying it and have not received any other information for the time being.” Anything special or different about it?

I'm loving elrs. Once you get a module and figure out updating and the like 5 ways to bind (button in betaflight, cli bind_rx also betaflight, plug unplug 3x fastish, id getter script thingy, elrs configurator)🤪 it's awesome. 😂. My whole fleet is becoming elrs. The range on my micros is silly😄 🐝... .. ☁️ ⛰ .. ..🏡

@@Vladamyr there was a bind element you could click in the receiver tab in betaflight at one point. Might've been a non official betaflight nightly or whatever it's called.

Well i can say flashing with speedy bee is very fast and yes be nice to have it cache but it works and is faster. Amazing when a rx works lol happymodel is airborne just did 3 quads in maybe 5 minutes and they bind n fly . Knob creek time

How did you make an elrs network? Can I do this with my home wifi. Do I need a separate plan or can my current wifi do this. I'd like to keep my devices from pairing accidentally pairing with my watch or something.

I have been flashing receivers from my phone by saving the pre compiled files to the phone and then using the receivers upload page. I am using an iPhone for this. I can’t imagine this not also working for Anndroid if it works for iPhone. You just have to build for every receiver type you think you will need to flash in advance.

@@garrcassx2 could have sworn I saw it first in a Bardwell video as well. The upload from mobile safari seems like an easier option for me if I ever had to do this but the big change for 3.0 is supposed to be SpeedyBee app use through the ELRS WiFi. Am waiting for the final release version though.

I flash my ELRS receivers from Android without any problems .... Since I know which receivers I have, I download and compile them on the computer and upload the firmware files to my Android and connect the receiver with Wifi via the browser and flash that way, no problem.

Speedybee works over usb but it can only flash of you're using a speedybee adapter.

The app has been so buggy since they started adding more and more features to it. On the 6 Android phones I had laying around, I couldn't get Speedybee ELRS to work at all.

You can still compile the files under the wifi setting on a PC save them to your phone and flash them at least with the RX, I don't know why it wouldn't work with a TX as well.

amazing, i jst replaced my elrs r9 after it just stoped working. even updated firmware, stillo dice. reciever just blinks. got a beta fpc 900 reciever that as wifi, good to know i ca update it with my bindig phrase via wifi
