Sum up Bardwells video: turn on radio tx, and power receiver, connect, select packet rate you want to be at, switch to a different packet rate, go back to the desired packet rate. Power off and on receiver, should connect instantly to radio transmitter. Receiver remembers the packet rate if you change it.

nice. i was wondering why it was taking so long to connect lately. i must have changed my packet rate with the quad powered off. thank you.

I say "thank you" a lot, but I'm so appreciative for you making this video showing how terrible it can be to wait for a connection and the simple way to fix it without digging into the receiver lua. I've pointed so many people to that docs page, now I can point them to this. I'm sorry it is very unintuitive, everyone, but we just can't save settings without dropping the connection! 😖Hopefully this new iteration makes it slightly less painful. It saves any the receiver disconnects, including when you switch rates in the lua.

Enough is enough! evrytime I ask myself a question you already have answered it, make an very intelligible video about it and covered all there is to know. And much more. Mr Bardwell you have left me no other choice than to subscribe. Thanks a lot for your videos getting into that hobby on the cheap side would have been almost mipossible without you.

You can also just go into the "other devices" tab in the elrs lua, there you can set the init rate manually
@JoshuaBardwell5 ай бұрын
No, you can't. Because in 3.4 they removed that feature and made it automatic. As I document in this video.

im so tired of f'new' frames that have zero actual innovation. I'm slightly interested in Chris Rosser's frame due to its FC vibration isolation slots, but other than that, i can't think of a single interesting frame.

I'm in trouble up to my neck: I formatted my sdcard and didn't save the settings. I updated my radio to the latest version v2.10.3 and updated the sd card with the same version, but the IBUS and SBUS protocols no longer work as they did before. The protocols don't seem to work, but I can't load the files. The expresslrs tab and the lua script folder don't load either. I hope someone can help me solve this. I'm using a master boxer radio, an external 2.4G EMAX lrs module, a 2.4g nammino rx. I'd be very grateful if you could help me.

Go to ELRS LUA on your radio, then to TX Power,Then set max power to 1000mW next line down should say Dynamic. Highlight that and scroll it to DYN and exit out.

That will purely be dependent on what packet rate you are using... some packet rates, i.e. the older ones, are the quickest to connect, as they are earlier in the list of packet rates to try when having to auto detect.
