What an excellent story! Thanks for sharing!!. Dennis Brown is my favorite. I met Jah Screw in 93 , he was somewhat surprised I knew who he was and his works. We were supposed to meet up and chat, but record hunting got in the way! Glad you knew Dennis, one of the finest singers, any genre, EVER.

Wow!! Great story Clinton. I also attended Saint Stephen’s college with memories of Head master Mr. rickets. I remember that Dennis Brown song “stop the fighting” vividly. That night you and my late brother-in-law (Phillip smart) had the friendly Soundclash on the radio in 1987 and he draw that Dennis Brown and the entire New York reggae fraternity was talking about it the next day. Continue the good work my brother!!🎼🎤

Thanks Conah, I looked high and low for footage of Mr. Brown...the old JBC TV would've had footage, but all their files were "accidentally" erased when it was sold to RJR...

Clinton. I remember the big big stage shows you used to promote in NY. You had one with Delroy Wilson in Manhattan. The one with Lovindear at empire skating rink in BKLYN, also the big TAMEKA award with shabba Ranks. I also remember the show with Super Cat where he was very unhappy with the way the band was playing. His famous quote “ dem go hire elastic band fi play reggae music.” The whole place DWL Those were the days.

Very informative.Dennis Brown is second cousin to Miss Dockery nee Lamb she is my father's cousin.Also the tv series Life with the Littles the character Karen l believe who played the daughter is my father's cousin also.One Sunday my father drove me and my 2 sisters to JBC to see Karen and they incorporated me and my sisters into that very afternoon show Life with the Littles so when we went home later we saw ourselves on tv.Mr Brown was there but just now finding out he is Dennis Brown father.
