I strain flaxseed gel through a fine metal strainer while still hot. I get all that goodness without having to squeeze and muscle it through a stocking.

I’ve actually been using this tea mixture since you first made it. I’ve used it as the liquid for one of my DIY treatments, I’ve been putting on my scalp, and I’ve even made another mixture where I added in a few additional herbs as well. So I am super excited to be using it again this week.

Looks like a great gel! I like to use my pitcher strainer while it's still hot so I don't have to squeeze anything. Definitely makes the job easier and less messy. 😁
@BellaHairCare4u3 жыл бұрын
That actually work? My gel always got caught through the strainer but maybe it was just too thick
@Purplerules943 жыл бұрын
@@BellaHairCare4u yup! I pour it in the strainer as soon as it comes off the heat. Once it cools, it's too thick for the pitcher strainer and I'd have to use my nut milk bag. If it's too thick coming right off the heat, you may need to use more water.

I have protein overload whenever I use flaxseed gel. My hair has a straw like feel to it whenever I used flaxseed gel
@NowIAmNappy3 жыл бұрын
Ohh I’m sorry to hear that. I’m curious does your hair feel crunchy like a gel cast when it dries or your saying the application process feels like straw
@6ftNaturalBeauty3 жыл бұрын
The protein molecules in flax seeds and other foods are too large to penetrate the hair strand, you can not get protein overload from them. Foods can coat the hair and be washed away, it does not bind to the hair strand like a small hydrolyzed proteins which can cause protein overload
