I just made this but I used water instead of AVJ, honey instead of glycerin, and olive oil instead of coconut oil. I was super excited about the consistency and I made a nice 8 oz. I'll be back to make an update on how it worked for my prepoo. Update: It melted into my hair like BUTTER. It made detangling so much easier and I only finger detangled. This has to be the BEST detangler that I've ever used! Thank you so much :)

Guar gum substitutes: All Purpose Flour, Flaxseed, Chia Seeds, Egg Whites, Psyllium Husk, or Xantham Gum
@chiomanoble83244 жыл бұрын
I am thankful to God that I found this video because it saved my daughter's wash day today. I tried 3 different DIY detangling recipes but only this one worked. My daughter has extremely tender head, thick, full, long and curly 4c hair. The marshmallow root didn't work for her, and the aloe vera plant method did not work either. I was very frustrated so I quickly made up this recipe to see if it will fail too. But to my surprised it was the only one that gave me the best slip I needed to completely detangle her hair, although she was crying while I was doing it. However I replaced coconut oil with olive oil and used only 1/2 TBS instead of the full 1 TBS of Gua Gum. God bless you so much and I pray you continue to share your DIYs with us.

For 40 years I only used a comb and fingers. After I stopped the CGM, which damaged my hair, I still fell for the hype of Denman/TT. I went back to use my fingers and a comb. Denman and TT are good they just don't fully work with my fine low density hair as they produce too much clumps and I look like I have no hair.

SheRea DelSol It worked great! I think I lost less hair than any other wash day. I detangle before the shower, left it in while I ate breakfast, then proceeded. I basically lost nothing in the shower at all. I’m amazed that you use the whole bottle. I only used about 1/4. So I can add my rosemary EO for nest time. Thanks for sharing your concoctions.
