9:32 How could you miss out on the main difference between the SNES version and the previous ports of Yoshi's cookie. The puzzle mode is exclusive to the SNES version and it's a fun challenge. Not to mention you could actually choose between different characters when you do the verses mode instead of just always being Mario against either Yoshi, princess, or Bowser. It even tells you what the attributes of each character is in the versus mode. Oh yeah actually I played that Barney game on the Genesis. Rented it from Hollywood Video. I'm not even sure why I did I guess I was still young enough to still love watching Barney, but I had played other better video games like Super Mario World already and Sonic the Hedgehog. It's crazy how Barney was such a big deal in the '90s and now he's hardly around. At least as far as I know.

Hey Dylan, there were a few good fighting games on the Game Boy, but they came out near the end of its lifespan. All of them were by Takara. And all were ports. There was Samaurai Showdown, which had all the characters and a few bonus ones to boot, King of Fighters '95, which had a smaller Roster, but still had the 3 on 3 fighting, Wold Heroes Jet, which was pretty entertaining, and lastly Battle Arena Toshinden, a surprisingly robust port of the PS1 game that even added a few characters from the second game. They are all pretty entertaining and worth a playthrough.

Next week's predictions without googling it; Bad Ass Racing: Rock and Roll Racing. An over looked platformer: I forget the name of this game but its on the SNES where essentially you're a shrunk down scientist and have to carry around items like thumbtacks and traverse large open stage areas of based off of common house rooms. If I remember correctly, the main character wears sun glasses and green jump suit so he looks reminiscent of Rad Spencer from Bionic Commando. Cute Shoot Em Up without any spaceships: I believe he's referring to, I want say its called Magical Pop, or something along those lines. Either way I know its the most expensive game you can find on the Turbo Graphics 16.

You can really see how the TG16 was struggling to stay competitive by this point. Hudson messed up, waiting as long as they did to bring it to the US. If they'd gotten it out substantially ahead of the MD/Gen, it might have caught on like it did in Japan. But releasing head-to-head with the Genesis made it the weaker option by far, and it was utterly doomed once the SNES released.

I do remember my partner showing me that Barney game when we were just looking through his family's retro games and he said even his siblings thought that game was super lame when they were the appropriate age to play it. Apparently, they wanted young kids to feel like they "always win," so Barney will just wander off and find all the kids and presents for you and complete the stage if you idle at the beginning for long enough. Course, the end screens say "You've found 0 kids/presents" if you do this, so I don't know what the point was. Kids games were weird.
