I truly like this guy, and his mindset. Unfortunately it doesn't work that simply. If McDonalds pays their employees $15 an hour one of 2 things WILL happen. The price of a big mac, (along with everything else on the menu) will double in price. OR they will invest in robots to make and serve your burgers. This isn't rocket science. Most industries operate on razor thin margins. Mandating that they pay employees more is not just unamerican, its inherently flawed. This guy can run up his margins as he sees. His competitors are not equipped to meet the same demand. A universal basic income is a good idea in the short term. In the long run it would have the same effect. Money would become less scarce ie. Less valuable. You'll be pushing ur Zimbabwe dollars in a wheelbarrow to the grocery store for a loaf of bread.

Then later on I was told by a colleague that he feels that raises should never be given to employees for no reason... why? because he says it takes away their motivation to be better employees. WHAT?! That would've actually made me feel more loyal and more motivated to know that my hard work of working 60 hour weeks would actually get rewarded. 40 Billion! These folks just don't get it. There's nothing wrong with being rich, but why would you want to have a company full of full-time employees who have to work 2 jobs or live check to check or can't afford to buy a home, or have to be 30+ with 2-3 roommates. Mr Prince is a moral & good man. His character & values are in line with the promise of America. I truly hope that dark cloud of selfish, unchristian behaviour that has effected our country over the last few years is washed away this November. I believe the US senate shouldn't have a GOP majority for the next political cycle. I'm a GOP member, who will be voting for Biden this year.
