There's a difference between cutting a city in half, and walling off the border of a country. Less wall needed means more resources freed up to make a higher quality wall, which could be fully manned and protected at all times. The border wall wouldn't have that since almost all available resources would be dedicated just to building ANYTHING along the sheer length of the distance. But, if the immigration process was less demanding, more "illegal immigrants" would be more inclined to do the process legally and therefore more people in the US (as a consequence more people to take taxes from). I thought the US prided itself as a melting pot of all different "races" and backgrounds, but it keeps turning away more and more people for the most minor things. Maybe not everyone is welcome, but we are too afraid to let potentially good people in to pursue the so called "American dream" (which itself is bullshit, but a different problem) or even just see their families because they don't have everything that the US wants.

inconspicuous freedom - because US economy (capitalism in general) is based on using a LOT of really cheap labor, and many US citizens are reluctant to work in those conditions because it's grueling work/bad pay. also unemployment in Mexico is slightly less than in the US according to current trading economics. I think it's around 4% for both. what US people don't really understand is that most Mexicans do NOT want to live there. they just don't have a choice if they want to provide their family. most don't see the US as the Greatest Country In The World.

The average "cheap" 4yr degree costs somewhere around $40,000. Multiply $40,000 times just 200 Million people you get $8 Trillion USD. Multiply $40,000 times 300,000,000 people and that number increases to $12 Trillion USD. Way more than the wall and way more than what is spent in it's entirety on military spending. At the current population, it would be over $13 Trillion USD in order to pay for everyone to go to college. At the current rate of population increase at over 2 Million people per year, each year would cost the US Government an additional $93 Billion dollars per year to fund college for every US Citizen. The way is estimated to cost only $25 Billion, how is this more feasible than a wall?

Free education is very feasible (it is done in countries all over the world). Beside free education has benefits (educated populations help boost economy and culture a lot), while a wall has none.
