If Uber had bought the cars then the drivers would have to be employees of Uber. By having Hertz buy the cars for Uber then the drivers can be independent contractors.

The point in this episode was that Hertz doesn’t actually have any agreement with Tesla, and that made the TSLA drop
@wineberryred3 жыл бұрын
@@olemissjim Can you explain why Tesla stock would drop if they don't have an agreement? My understanding would be that Hertz would pay the same price and delivery fee as any other retail buyer if they did not have an agreement. It seems that it would be most advantages to Hertz to have an agreement.

I started watching this Now You Know channel sometime in 2019 because of the interesting episode about exponential growth of EVs. At the time I was recovering from a serious injury from a motorcycle accident. After almost a year listening to all the talk about Tesla stock price growth I thought it would be a good idea to at least have one share so that talk could feel more personal. Funny thing is that I thought it would be a better idea to have two shares so I can hold on to one if I sold one. Over the next few months I added a little bit at a time because they are very expensive in my country. Thanks to Zach and Jesse I have a couple of huge growth stocks that are going to grow further as Tesla becomes possibly the biggest company in the world!

regarding the turn angle of a steering wheel, you can get accuracy from a relatively small lock to lock angle. historically steering wheels have had higher steering angles to provide the leverage to move the heavy systems. power steering makes the leverage problem irrelevant.

@conniesaunders173 жыл бұрын
We went on an our drive to our daughter’s university which boasted our score to 99. A stop at a red light took it down to a 98, three days later we got it back. The following morning we had FSD Beta. It doesn’t like my small rural area of Ohio where we go from 55 to 25 and it likes to send me the shortest routes using pothole riddled roads which will destroy any car instead of main routes. Oh, and it pulled out into the middle of the other lane when leaving my drive and I live on a very busy state route between a small city and the freeway so it’s pretty busy during the commuting times. It was only the first day though so waiting to see if it gets any better.

Yes! We develop utility scale solar farms and one of the big benefits to the landowners who are interested in making their land available for such a project is having the ability to continue grazing sheep on the land, as opposed to cattle farmers who are realising they are missing out on the additional potential income from a solar farm (for 30+ years!), while still mainting their existing income from animal farming. Many landowners (mostly farmers) choose to switch from cows to sheep because of this win-win and in fact, many farmers are doubling their income doing this! And there is a benefit to the sheep with the added shade cover when needed, AND the vegetation covers does better with more shade from the panels above increasing moisture retention, resulting in better quality food for the sheep!
@q.e.d.91123 жыл бұрын
A win-win-win situation. The power generator, the farmer and the sheep all benefit. The biggest beneficiaries of the wind farms round here are the farmers who can still graze 90% of their previous stock numbers but gain an income multiple times bigger.
@malcolmrickarby23133 жыл бұрын
I’m sure you can graze cattle 🐮 by just putting the solar panels on slightly longer poles.
@gdnasp63593 жыл бұрын
@@malcolmrickarby2313 Potentially, but the economics of the additional engineering (needing deeper and larger diameter, thus heavier and more costly piles) offset a large proportion of the savings to be had under normal design configs. On very large solar farms (1000+ hectares), it could be a justified cost, so long as cattle can be 'guaranteed' to not do harm to the panels. Every site is different of course.
