Hello from 🇸🇬! I’m tossing up Nozawa & Hakuba 1. How did you guys get around the village? 2. Do they have a supermarket in town? Thank you!
@Ko_Abroad12 күн бұрын
Hello! 😊 such great options 1. We walked around the village, it’s not too big 2. There are smaller grocery shops in town but the large supermarkets are located in Iiyama. We made a stop at the big supermarket next to the bullet train station on the way to the village.

Thanks for the video!!! Can you go there for a 2 day 1 night trip? Do they offer tour packages?
@Ko_Abroad Жыл бұрын
Hi, if you’re not planning to ski or snowboard a 2 day 1 night trip would work great. The most popular short tour packages I saw on offer there were for snow monkey visits. There is a tourist information centre at Liyama station which features more recommended activities to do in the various towns in the area including Nozawaonsen.

@Ko_Abroad Жыл бұрын
Hi, yes it is. There is a school that offers ski/snowboarding lessons in English to help you get started as well.

Can you use the public onsen if you have tattoos? I've heard some don't allow if you have tattoos
@Ko_Abroad Жыл бұрын
Hi, I’m not sure. There are signs on etiquette and rules in the onsens so you can pop in to have a look at those. Alternatively, there are outdoor open air baths at SPArena where you can enter with a swimsuit.

Is there a restaurant at the top next to the gondola station (for non skiers who want to simply enjoy the view)?
@Ko_Abroad7 ай бұрын
Hi, there are restaurants around the top of Hikage gondola and we did see some dog walkers around the Paradise area where there are quite a few restaurants too.

Hi Quick question I wanna go in Jan 27th 2025 Just for the day Should I buy my lift ticket in advance ? I can’t seem to get a website to book it Do you think it is necessary or it can be done that day? Thanks
@Ko_Abroad2 ай бұрын
Hello, when we visited we bought our lift tickets directly from the ticket office on the day. Hope that helps and wishing you a fun visit!

Hi! can i check for ski suit can i just rent on the spot or i need advance booking?
@Ko_Abroad13 күн бұрын
Hi, we would recommend advance bookings for ski equipment as discounts are usually offered. There was quite a bit of equipment available at the shop we rented from, so they should be able to help even if you went straight there.

Do you mind sharing where you stayed?
@Ko_Abroad Жыл бұрын
Hi, I stayed at a relative’s house within the village. As the village is not that big, as long as you are staying near one of the onsens, most places should be within walkable distance 😊 hope that still helps!
