The p 51 bullet isn’t an average ebike. The quality, suspension, and craftsmanship is next level. However the power isn’t anything special and the price isn’t cheap, just under $4,000. Here is my honest review of this unique ebike.

I love those forks. I've got them on my Mario 1000w bafang mid-drive cafe racer style bike. I usually see those forks on the Sur-Rons but I'm very pleased with them and like the P51 it's a good looking bike and i can't wait to see what you do to it 👌🏾

Great video, we can’t wait to see what you do with your Bullet! We do want to mention that we are not trying to compete with Sur Ron or Talaria, as we are strictly a Class 2 bike, which limits us on power and speed. Our goal here is to have a bike that’s got the suspension you want, while being able to ride it almost everywhere 🤘⚡️

Way too overpriced for a 48v system with that battery. Margins have to be absurd even for an American company

Buying one of these and upgrading it to 3000+ watts would be a dream build of mine. There's so much space in the triangle frame for a powerful custom battery, and the build quality means the bike could take the extra power without breaking. Maybe in a few years when people start to get tired of the ones they bought now and I could buy a used one for less than $2k. EDIT: Just noticed you did upgrade it, I would've probably done it a bit differently but I can't argue with a 30 minute build time.

"The performance is not what i would expect for $3850 bucks" If you only equate price to top speed..... CA just introduced a law (currently making it's way through their legislature on the way to the Governor's office) that will ban anyone under age 12 from riding an ebike of any kind and require some kind of drivers license to be on the road. For those age 12-16 they will have an online training course as well as an online test to get an ebike license. This bike, is fine within those legal limits. This law will also put anything above the moronic class system (which makes zero sense, we don't prevent SUV's from being on city streets that have a 35mph top speed just because they can do 100mph) into a scooter/motorcycle class and require a real motorcycle endorsement license, insurance, and registration. The P-51 was built, according to it's designer, to be a street legal Surron. That's why it uses literally and exactly the same front forks as the light bee. This bike can be jumped at a bmx course and land with zero problems. An Engwie or Dad Power Bike would snap in half trying to do something like that and be merciless on how the shock gets transferred into your body. The P-51 frames are hand welded by American hands with frames made of Steel. Most ebikes frames are made of chineseium. Go look at the Super73 FB groups to see all the cracked or snapped frames S2 and RX owners have been dealing with. This is a good bike. People that know good bikes know this. Also, a 72v version of this bike already exists. It's a Surron. You should return those components you ordered. You'll spend more than a surron on those mods plus the cost of the bike, without it being anywhere near as good as a Surron. The designer of this bike, got his start, you guessed it. Running a business that modified Surrons. Unless he wanted to go through the DOT stuff to issue moped vins and coa's since he's located in Huntington Beach. This is the most you'll see any CA based business makes power wise going forward. edit: to summarize both points im trying to make here is this. 1) super powered ebikes are in July 2023 in the USA, a thing we used to see get sold in America. Regulation isn't coming, it's already here and these companies are not going to make bikes that nearly all their customers will get into legal trouble with. But #2, I think you totally misunderstood whoever told you "they compare this to a surron". What they meant to say was, this bike, according to it's designer was meant to be nothing more than the Surron's front fork andd rear suspension and geometry in a street legal ebike. He literally built it purposefully to be a "slow surron". That was literally it's design goal and you talk about it like it's a flaw in the design. It's not. It's the center of it.

They should have at least gone with 52v, easy to stay street legal most places and you’ll get a decent kick above 48v. Look at Magicycle, great example of this vs the basically identical Himiway options at 48v. Both class 2 or 3 legal but the Magicycle offers a much more enjoyable power delivery with the 52v.

@TurtleKingzxz
@TurtleKingzxz Жыл бұрын
The bike has some outstanding parts minus the brakes and battery. I don't believe the arguments for street legality In terms of specs are fair because this bike is riding on its suspension. Almosy every piece of promotional material highlights how great it is for jumps and trails but it doesn't have an unlockable offroad mode for more torque or power. It also doesn't have gears for pedaling, I know it's moped style bike which aren't usually great for pedaling but it's also missing features a solid moped style ebike should have to stand out at $4k like a built in alarm/security, turn signals, or a horn. Like you said it's a great base to start on for upgrading, but a 72v30Ah battery alone can be about 2k. It doesn't seem worth it to spend $4k on something only to invest thousands in it virtually immediately to alter its performance. As an influencer I'm sure it would be a great video for you but I don't think this bike is worth it. Once you pay that much you start getting into motorcycle and car prices.

What is the design called where the seat height is not adjustable like on this bike? I'm looking for a video that compares with pros and cons about that design vs having and adjustable height for the seat because to me, this looks like it would feel more like a motorcycle than a bicycle, and it would encourage me to just throttle everywhere instead of pedal.

"torque is more important", but you are obsessed with top speed. 35a controller with 48v is going to give you the torque with much less motor heat than 72v. Would appreciate the test of the grin controller with your existing battery/voltage if you have time. Comparing to 72v eventually. Comparing heat too.

When I got back into flying as a Private Pilot in 2017 after a 15 year hiatus, I purchased 2 Chinese knock-off GoPro's to mount inside and outside the aircraft to capture my wife and my adventures. I think one was 1080p and the other was $45 and 2.7K. I never lost a second of footage, never had them freeze or turn off due to heat or firmware issues. I did all the stabilization in Premier Pro and that was always good enough. Then I decided to splurge and picked up a GoPro Hero 5 Black and Hero 6 Black to enjoy the 4K footage. Looking back I wish I had just run out into moving-traffic, or poured Ghost pepper sauce in my eyes instead. There was seldom a day where they worked flawlessly and many days when they both froze, or turned off unexpectedly for no reason. I think the President of the company was a huckster and was just making a cash and stock grab until he could sell off this albatross. I fly 11 different DJI Drones commercially along with 3 Autel EVO Pro Drones and they are both rock solid companies and I have never had an issue with over 1,160 operations under my belt. The quality control at GoPro is virtually non-existent.

When would you be interested in reviewing some of Juiced Bikes higher end bikes like the HyperScrambler and HyperScorpion? seems odd that they do not have at least one of their models or an ad on option for a normal bicycle seat. Depends on your area and law enforcements expectations of bicycles. but if you either do not have pedals, or have a moped style seat they will give you a hard time. much better options that will come with both required power & better price. A surron lbx, a surron ultrabee, Talaria mx4, buy a ktm85 and get Electro & co. conversion kit, various other random options. Obviously, the requirement to carry a second rider is difficult to fully satisfy, and limits options pretty drastically...

I just sold my ebike that I just bought because I want a bike with range so I'm going to get the eahora Romeo and upgrade it down the road to 72v and 3000w with 80a controller. Why did u buy a battery that is 72v but only 15ah. I think that's what u said. You could have got a larger ah for prob less then u payed. Going off older vids of yours I think I know what battery you got and it was like 800$. For that u could ha got at least a 40ah and plenty of room on that frame. I might try to build my own frame like that bullet because it's a simple design. Great buy tho I do like it just way to much for me. We will have to go on a group ride when I get my Romeo.

This bike is disappointing. You can add your own suspension to any ebike that has stock suspension and save a ton of money. For 4000$, I expect dual batteries, 52V system, 4 piston hydraulic brakes, full fenders, comfortable seat and a 1000W nominal motor. If you look carefully, you can see that the battery is a Hailong battery which is a battery made in China and can contain brand name cells. This company didn’t even attempt to make their own unique battery case 🤦‍♂️

I think the price to performance is still out of whack. You have a frame and suspension that can handle 70mph with a performance of slow accelerating 30mph? You will never use the potential of all of that quality you are paying for. When this company goes out of business, these will sell off for 2k and be a great bargain for modders.

I cant see why they'd put those forks on such a weak performing bike! They're less stealthy and pointless for that light, slow bicycle. The frame has potential, but its square tubing, not as strong as cylindrical yet weighs much more. Im guessing that it feels nice to ride though, which, for some wealthy people would make it worth it. But myself, I can build a similar, but lighter, quicker and more efficient ebike for less than half the price that will not atand out as much, while performing better. So for me it's not worth it.

If that price is in U.S dollar I would definitely not spend that kind of money since I live in Canada and the conversion difference would be way to expensive. If I'm gonna spend close to $4k u.s dollar the ebike better have a capable speed of 70km/h or more and have a battery range of at least 150km. If it only has a max speed of 32km/h and average battery range like every other ebike I ain't gonna spend more than $1200 u.s dollar. I could care less if it's assembled in U.S it's not an excuse for a higher price.

They are simply trying to suck in money from young middle class dudes who are looking only at the aesthetics, just like Super 73 has done. @NPLVentures Well, at least you make an effort, but sometimes that isn't quite enough to avoid a surprise full-flung out door courtesy of someone reaching down to grab their wallet (so you might not even see them) and then suddenly throwing their door all the way out without looking because they're in a hurry to get to the bank. I personally either slow way down or open wide enough to the left so that even if they open the door all the way I won't get hit. I have been doored twice in my maybe 10-12ish years of regular bicycle riding, and it took the second one being much more painful for me and damaging to my bike for it to really sink in. I was lucky in that I didn't have significant permanent damage to my body, but I've seen people break their collarbone, need shoulder surgery, etc just on leg powered bikes. Now when I see someone riding relatively fast in the door zone I immediately cringe a little and think "it's not IF but WHEN". Safe travels out there, friend - may you have over 100,000 accident/crash-free miles ahead of you!

That's stupidly for people these days you spent 4k on ugly looking garbage bike than upgrading to 72 volts system spending another 1500 plus components than you make a video justifying your purchase Unbelievable!! People stopped spending your hard earned money on this garbage bike there's way better options for way less.
