Loved this set and checked out the album. Once again the live performance on Tiny Desk sounds better than the album production. Seems like producers get lost in tech and forget what makes music touch the soul.

The kick drum, at least in the first song so far, hits uncomfortably hard here, for the style and other instrumentation. I agree that the rest of the production is okay. There's no way that's my fave mic on her voice, but I've liked it on other voices a lot more. But I haven't heard the album yet!

Now I need to hear the album, because I want to hear her voice thru a studio condenser. I really like some of the slightly off axis holds during the 3rd song. The brass "playing fx" on that song, and strings, are mixed perfectly on that song.
