Terence Blanchard has been a legend of his instrument and as a composer for a very long time. He also has been one of my most beloved big brothers and mentors since I first met him in 1987. He’s been blazing trails for a looooong time. I love him dearly, despite him being a Lakers fan. 😂😂 (Then again, the Pelicans didn’t exist in 1987, so maybe he’s rooting for his hometown team now.)

I was blessed to hear Terrance Blanchard at The Walt Disney Concert Hall in March 2023, never been there and wonderful concert experience plus Layla Hathaway was special guest and a new singer for me Tarriona Tank.. awesome concert 🎶🎵

Terence B. is a blessing. I was fortunate to meet him a few years ago at The Kennedy Center after an NEA Jazz Masters event. What a great career he’s had. So many people probably do not realize how many of his film scores they’ve listened to over the decades.
