Koshi Inaba is the lead singer of B’z, Japan’s top rock band. Known for his powerful voice, he’s been a major force in Japanese music since the 1980s. Fortunately, Koshi Inaba's, B'z's, and Tak Matsumoto's full discographies are available on Spotify, so I highly recommend it for people to check them out because they're worth it!

I went to high school with the guitarist, Duran -- though he used to be called "Haru" back then. Watching and hearing him perform in Tiny Desk for the second time feels good, mang.

That's amazing! He's insanely talented and has been touring with Inaba since 2014. Glad to finally see him get the recognition he deserves.

I've watched this countless times on the NHK channel. So glad it's finally up here as well. People around the world need to be introduced to Koshi Inaba's genius. B'z is the best-selling Japanese band of all time, and Inaba is an amazing artist and prolific solo artist in his own right too. Please look up his and the band's music--you're in for a treat! 60 years old and his voice still sounds as mesmerizing as always! Love that the setlist was adapted for Tiny Desk; they really understood the assignment of stripping songs down for such a setting.

Been listening to Koshi Inaba and his main band B'z for 19 years. While he's still awesome now, in his prime he was a monster. Especially in the late 90's and early 2000's where his vocal acrobatics was at its peak. Also, the drummer first played for the band in 2002 while the bassist first worked with them in 2004.

@@barrannugrahakodri8695 I sadly discovered them a bit later, since I am European, so I had to go out of my way to find their music, after falling in love with one of their songs, not knowing much about them at the time. Then the likes of Spotify and other streaming services made it a lot easier for people to find their music. At that point, I was already owning their entire discography and live releases. It's amazing that more than 35 years later, they still sell out stadiums and shows, and Inaba sounds just as good as he did in his youth, having taken good care of his voice to be able to still sing songs in the same key. Some will never understand the pull B'z had on audiences at their peak. It's a generational band that your parents grew up with, then they passed their love for their music to you, then you will also do the same with your kids. Their class is permanent.
