Hi Ashok, I hope you are safe and healthy! I have a question for you. You described NPSH for a open system. How would you describe it in a close system (like boiler pump, condenser water pump). What variables change in that case?

Hi, Thank you, hope you are also safe & healthy 🙂. In Open system only atmospheric pressure works which is only a static head, but in closed system atmospheric pressure as well as gauge pressure both will act here, It mean Absolute pressure equals to the gauge pressure plus atmospheric pressure.

Centrifugal pumps characteristics by npsh need. In closed loop system, pressure lost play important role.
