Hey Evan... Id like to join, but I'm from Ireland 🍀 I'm almost done my EMT course and I'm still really struggling with a lot of content. My exams are not until maybe Feb or March 2022 or whenever I feel ready to be put forward . I plan on starting over at the very basic again in my study and I need help to connect it all together. Your videos are so helpful to me to understand. How much difference would it make with your course being Americanised and my EMT course content taught in Ireland?? Would it make much of a difference really?? Thanks Evan 👍😊

I'm on week 6 of my EMT course and I really can't thank you enough for all the material, time, and effort you put out to teach people. You present things in such a real-world way and it's really helped me to visualize what I am looking at (either test wise or in the field). Again, thank you for what you do.

As a new EMT I am seeing that most if not all ALS services see EMTs as the paramedics helper and ambulance driver. Our training and education is now being used to transfer deceased individuals and transfers from hospitals and nursing homes outside the facility. We use paramedics on every call BLS or AL'S and recently had 2 medics quit because they are being over utilized and overworked. Instead of treating every call as BLS until it's not, they treat every call as BLs (including picking up drunks from PD). IF there is a reason for this, it has not been communicated down to the lowest levels nor is it communicated during orientation.

Thanks for doing this. I have been racking my brain because I have been studying like crazy. Reading the book, listening to lectures on the book, and pretests. I didnt feel like I was retaining enough. I have been seeing your videos BUT thought your target was to Paramedics based on your name so I never watched them. A friend told me he passed his NREMT by listening to you. I started listening today and I have retained more in one day than in the past 4 months of attending school. I am feeling confident with scheduling my NREMT for a retake. #EMTBae

Replay Are You Ready Let's Go Thanks for the videos. I am an EMT of 25 Years and have always thought about going to EMT-P School but the 2 things that stopped me from going is the math required and cardiology (i.e. learning ecg's and the like) but i watched your cardiology review for Basic EMT and EMT-P and it explained a lot and has given me a little more confidence to at least try to go to EMT-P School. Evan I’m confused on the answer to the first question u went over about the severe chest pain. If we don’t have the vitals how do we make that call to give aspirin if there are contraindications and we are not aware if the patient has them? It’s just confusing because they say if oxygen is on the list it’s most likely that? To always give oxygen hmm just hard cause it’s like u hear so many different things and they are all different

wouldn’t you give oxygen after chief complaint, and accessing the airway first? So why is administering ASA right. I understand the chest pain so you would but isn’t it after oxygen since that’s first in the process

I let my national expire but I kept my State EMT license. I moved to Georgia and now I regret letting my national expire. I've gone through all 40hr refresher courses, reapplied to NREMT, paid for my application, and now I'm getting ready to take the exam. I am worried that through my 17yrs working in the ER and some in the ambulance, I may have forgotten lots of things when it comes to being an EMT on the field. How can I prepare for the National exam?

Hey coach quick question, we’re being told that basically everyone is going to get O2 but not everyone will get meds. We’re instructed to contact medical control and request permission to assist with meds. With the info given and not knowing if he’s already take a dose of his aspirin why would we give him the max dose vs 15L oxygen?

So I have suspected MCAS, have been issued an EpiPen but waiting for stock because there’s short supply but not had anyone explain how and when to use it. According to Google and this video I experience anaphylaxis at least twice a month but because I’ve always just dealt with it on my own I never know when I really need to use the pen or go to hospital. I had a reaction last night my oxygen saturation was 81 and I’d been vomiting, wheezing etc but my carer was on Tik Tok not concerned and it was 3 am so I didn’t go to the ER. Got out of bed this morning and heart rate jumped to over 120 again just standing still so still feeling kind of rough but alive. I have no idea how many Epi Pens or ER trips I should go through if I’m. Used to just riding it out because I feel like a hypochondriac. My PCP has never allowed me even basic allergy testing and I’ve had allergy issues from birth
@lyndaunknown720 Жыл бұрын
It's too bad your doctor isn't putting you on one of those take-home heart monitors so that they can situationally check the EKG for a limited time. You should have allergy and cardiology specialists monitoring you. I pray that you get to the proper set of HELPFUL doctors.😐💕

I failed my first attempt at 70 questions. Does anyone have any pointers to pass my second attempt? I take it within a week.
minute 58- I would, explain to my patient and family the benefits of transport. I wouldn't call medical direction because I haven't found out more information on the fall without trying to gathering more info. I have no information given to me indicating to move her and medical direction will want to know the extent of the fall if witnessed. If there is no life threats to the position she was found, why move the patient back to the bed without fully assessing her. Not enough info. The other two questions are just wrong, there is no indication of DNR.
