If you watch Patty at 0:54 you’ll understand why he had such an embrace from his teammates after his first try. Sees JWH go at Flegler and does not hesitate. Is turning up for his mates whether its taking the tough carrys, putting on the big shots (very first run of the game puts a shot on origin team mate Collins and sets the tone), or even in the scuffle. Always amongst it. Broncos have a real shot this year. Back to you Gus.

Staggs was not offside (caught the ball and scored) when Reynolds kicked. The broncos should have been awarded a penalty try when the extra player on the field (wearing the Ref's jersey) blocked Smoothy from scoring.

I have always said that the only consistent thing in rugy league is the inconsistency with refereeing standards. Each season they start off clamping down on some rule only for that standard to have evaporated halfway through the season. Then it has absolutely vanished come the following season. Referees often do not apply the rules when making a decision, they apply their own personal feelings, "hmm, the Eels are looking shot, I had better deny the Staggs try or they will get too far behind".

I thought the bunker can check tries for onside or offside? How come with that disallowed try they went with the on field ruling and didnt check it themselves? Because it looks onside with that high shot they show. Also, the past few weeks, Broncos have had players sent to the bin with contact to the head, how come the Roosters player didn't go to the bin? And then the Ref stops the Broncos from scoring near the end lol. Ive never seen that before 😂

Not just the broncos, lots of players sent to the bin for direct, Forceful contact this year. Cobbo last week, got sent for ball carrying. That was a sin everyday of the week.
