​@hezz972 Pretty much Nathan Cleary from the Penrith Panthers at the moment. Have a look at the NRL Grand Final from last year, especially the second half. Best players are always debatable, it depends where your loyalty lies. Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers 🍻 mate.

​@@hezz972I guess it's a bit debatable mate. Traditionally it would be Thurston but it's hard to tell but modern day would be Cleary. The sport has some similarities to NFL but the thing is, even compared to classic Rugby, Rugby League is alot more streamlined and players don't have as much of a specified or defined role in terms of defense, offense. As you can see they are more rounded jack of all trades.

Crazy how the Bronx let Capewell go and were happy to just roll with Piakura and Riki as the only 2nd rowers in the entire roster. Moving Carrigan to the edge to cover Piakura was such a big waste. Need to sign another edge asap!

Vegas local here who went… it was only $19 USD which is half the reason I went. Had never heard of the NRL until this week. I’ll be back next year!! Definitely weren’t a lot of other Americans there though. Seemed like only 1/3 of the crowd was 🇺🇸

As an SA Union fan, Rugby league feels so different,having watched this match as my 1st experience of it..Not sure if there are scrum infringements and i learnt that there are no rolling mauls and lineouts..the basic rules are easy to understand without the rucks and all those infringements. Obviously the players have to be excellent with keeping possession of the ball and one on one tackles.

Roosters were great and thoroughly deserved that win, Broncos were poor you could tell they missed Fleglers aggression and Herbies workload out of their own end. Cobbo is not a centre missed far too many tackles

The Broncos forgot to board their 'offence' onto the the plane. Last tackle options were terrible, general kicks ordinary, and no structure to the attack (except for one good try). Just hoping this is just a rusty start to the season.

Walsh practiced his try dive more than his tackling this week 🤦 The shoulder charge that stopped a certain try was just a penalty, and not penalty try didn't make sense. Precedence was set, just shoulder charge people to stop the try.

Congratulations Roosters, you are definitely an exciting team to watch this year 👏 (looking forward to seeing Dominic Young in action soon). I also hope Reynolds' kicking goes deeper to the opposition 20mtr line more often, rather than mid field. The high balls are great, but no real threat if it just shoots up and lands 5 metres in front of you. Ultimately, great game to start the season.

Incredible win by the Chooks. They were faster and tougher than in years, in terms of Round 1. Defence was much improved, which is obviously something they've worked on in the off-season. Broncos hung in there, but were unfortunately let down by a bit directionless attack, and errors/penalties.

Unbelievably tactis from Reynolds and Kevie. First mistake was sitting Oats out. They needed him to carry the ball out. Second mistake was these little middield kicks Reynolds was doing. The Roosters picked it up and by the end of their set, they were at the Broncos tryline. Foolish tactics, totally gave the game away.
