What an action packed game this was. Knights looked like the better team in the first 60 minutes. It was scrappy, riddled with ball handling errors, dud calls going both ways, tension between the players, a ridiculous yet hilarious, mistaken identity sinbin call that almost was and the Ice man putting the cherry on top at the end. This is why Rugby League is the greatest game of all. This game was pure entertainment. Btw, what ever happened to Crichton? He has not been the same player ever since his Bulldogs signing was announced. His form this year has been way below the standard l’m use to seeing from him. He use to be one of the most reliable Penrith players in the last few years!

Reffing was atrocious though. Penrith scored on the back of a couple of critical decisions that went against Newcastle. First Gagai swears in frustration and ref interprets as against him, then the hair pull. Newcastle played brilliantly

I reckon the NRL should take notes from the NFL. We knights didn't even touch the ball in golden point, so we had 0 chance to win after the 80 minutes. I reckon the knights should get a chance to at least score. If the panthers get possession back, fair loss. We couldn't score in Golden point, but since we couldn't even get a single possession, we hadn't a chance to score in Golden point. TLDR; NRL should either give both teams the chance to win in Golden point, or give us two 5 minute extra periods because A, the knights couldn't even touch the ball, and B, it's a fair match up. The knights showed we were just as good as the panthers. We just couldn't get the ball in Golden point. Maybe they should only have Golden point or extra periods in finals

I'd rather they scrap golden point altogether, at least during the regular season. For 80 minutes the object of the game is to score tries, but for 10 minutes it's all about kicking field goals. They might as well bus the players to a golf course and have a nearest the pin contest to decide it.
